• Nagano Station - Meet your guide in front of Starbucks at Midori Nagano Station. We’ll begin our walk to Zenko-ji Temple, which takes about 20 minutes. The walk is enjoyable as you can take in the local sights. If you’ve already visited Zenko-ji Temple or prefer not to, your guide can show you local shops and a nearby shrine instead.

• Zenko-ji Temple - Upon arrival at Zenko-ji Temple, your guide will not only introduce you to the temple but also to Nagano’s relaxed area, including some local shops around the temple.

• Zenko-ji Temple Nakamisedori - Arrive at a sake tasting spot where you can sample various types of sake along with snacks like soy sauce beans and Japanese pickles. You can also enjoy Nagano’s specialty, miso soup.

• Zenko-ji Temple Nakamisedori - Visit an old sake factory, over 120 years old, to learn about the sake-making process. Although it’s no longer in use, it offers a glimpse into the traditional methods.

• Nagano Station - After sake tasting, we’ll walk back to Nagano Station (a 20-minute walk). The tour lasts about 2 hours and concludes at Nagano Station. If you wish to explore more, such as visiting restaurants, you can part ways with your guide near Zenko-ji Temple, from where it’s easy to return to Nagano Station on your own.

The Sake brewery we will visit boasts a rich history of over 300 years, offering a chance to taste a variety of premium Sakes, including unfiltered, unpasteurized, and other seasonal selections. Wander through the charming streets of Nagano and the Zenkoji Temple area, before returning to Nagano Station.
