• Nawate Shopping District - The tour begins with a stroll through the renowned Nawate Street, also known as Frog Street, located in Downtown Matsumoto. This pedestrian-only street offers a peaceful environment for window shopping, sampling local ice cream and snacks, or visiting the nearby Yohashira Shrine.
• Matsumoto Castle - Following a brief walk, participants will be guided inside Matsumoto Castle. As one of only 12 original castles still standing in Japan, and among the largest and most impressive, this castle provides insight into the Samurai lifestyle and governance of Old Japan. Not only is it historically significant, but Matsumoto Castle also captivates with its striking yet delicate exterior design.
• Naraijuku - After departing Matsumoto Castle, guests will board the dedicated tour bus to travel to Narai-juku post town. Known as Japan’s longest post town, with over 1km of traditional wooden buildings lining its main street, this town embodies the traditional Japanese atmosphere. The guide will lead a tour through the town, explaining its history and significance. Additionally, there will be a seasonal activity, such as visiting a preserved old home or crafting chopsticks by hand, with the cost included in the tour.
