This excursion, starting at 8:30 AM, takes you through the legendary Kingdom of Agamemnon, where the Cyclopean walls and the Lions Gate stand as testaments to the architectural prowess of ancient Greece. The tholos tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra offer a glimpse into the burial practices of the time, while the ancient theatre of Epidaurus showcases the cultural richness of the era.
“Very Interesting sites - Its was a good visit. We ended up purchasing an audio guide since the driver that picks you up does not go with you on the archeological site, and does not really share any information about it during the drive either. The ruins are amazing, but I wished we had a live guide with us, to better understand what we were looking at. The site are rather large and well worth the visit. Its hard to believe these structures date back some 1600 before Christ. Truly amazing history, tones or antiquities, great museum.” (Reviewed on 2025-04-08)
As the afternoon sun breaks through the clouds, casting a golden hue over the landscape, take a moment to reflect on the grandeur of the past and the stories that have shaped this region.

This tour offers a perfect blend of history and indulgence, beginning with a visit to the archaeological site of Mycenae. The wine tasting experience at renowned wineries like Palivou Estate and Lafazanis Winery offers a delightful contrast to the ancient ruins, allowing you to savor the flavors of Greece while soaking in the serene beauty of the landscape.
“Outstanding trip - highly recommended - The tour experience was wonderful! Our driver Peter had an incredible knowledge of the area that we were going and relationships with the people that we visited. We learned a lot from him - both about history and from his personal life experience with his family. The winery experience was a perfect end to the tour with delicious wine and an informative guide. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody who is looking to both experience the history of Greece and have a relaxing day.” (Reviewed on 2024-10-03)
