Chukkar Walk
The ‘Chukkar’, resembling an infinite loop, encircles the Cantonment area, creating an illusion of a circular path hovering above Mussoorie. The horizon showcases an array of snow-capped Himalayan peaks rising above the neighboring hills. This circular journey begins where the road intersects with Kellog Church, established in 1903. Proceeding to the right from this point, visitors encounter the storied Landour Language School. Along the path, the sight of various birds, butterflies, and bees captivates as one nears the ancient Landour Cemetery, eventually reaching the summit known as Lal Tibba. As one traverses to the loop’s opposite end, the majestic view of Mussoorie’s valley unfolds, serving as an impeccable spot to witness the sunset’s amber glow. The circuit concludes at Char Dukkan, where one can pause for a warming cup of tea, accompanied by the twinkling lights that adorn the surrounding hillsides.
