Jabrin - Jabreen (or Jibreen) is a beautifully restored historic castle located near Bahla in the Al Dakhiliyah region of Oman. Built in the late 17th century by Imam Bil’arab bin Sultan, it served as both a defensive stronghold and a center of learning and culture. Unlike other forts, Jabreen Castle is known for its refined architecture and intricate interior design, including elaborately painted ceilings, carved wooden doors, and hidden staircases.

NIZWA – AL HAMRA – JEBEL SHAMS – MUSCAT
Nizwa Fort Oman - Nizwa, often referred to as the “Pearl of Islam,” is one of Oman’s oldest and most historically significant cities. Located at the base of the Al Hajar Mountains, it was once the capital of Oman during the 6th and 7th centuries and served as a center of trade, education, religion, and art. Known for its deep-rooted Islamic heritage, Nizwa is still a thriving cultural hub that beautifully blends tradition with modernity.
At the heart of the city stands the majestic Nizwa Fort, built in the 17th century by Imam Sultan bin Saif Al Ya’rubi. It is one of the largest and most impressive forts in Oman, featuring a massive cylindrical tower that was strategically designed for defense. The fort includes secret passageways, traditional living quarters, date storage rooms, and exhibits showcasing Omani life, weaponry, and architecture. From the top of the fort’s tower, visitors are rewarded with panoramic views of the city, the surrounding oasis, and the mountains.
Al Hamra - Al Hamra is a charming and historic village in the Ad Dakhiliyah region of Oman, known for its beautifully preserved traditional mud-brick houses and scenic mountain backdrop. Dating back over 400 years, Al Hamra offers a glimpse into authentic Omani village life. Many of the multi-story homes, built with sun-dried mud bricks and palm-beam ceilings, remain intact and are among the oldest still-standing dwellings in the country.
The village is surrounded by lush date plantations nourished by an ancient falaj irrigation system, which adds to its serene atmosphere.
Jabal Shams - Jebel Shams, meaning “Mountain of the Sun,” is the highest peak in Oman, rising to over 3,000 meters above sea level. Located in the Al Hajar Mountain range, it is famous for its stunning natural beauty, cooler climate, and breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon of Arabia. The dramatic cliffs, deep canyons, and rugged terrain make Jebel Shams a haven for nature lovers, hikers, and photographers.
Due to the mountainous and off-road terrain leading up to Jebel Shams, a vehicle change from a regular coach to a 4x4 jeep has been arranged. This ensures comfort and safety while navigating the winding and rugged paths of the highlands. Traveling by 4WD not only allows better access to the remote areas but also adds an element of adventure as you ascend into one of Oman’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Return back to Muscat.
