• Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - The first stop on the tour is the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a true marvel of global architecture. It took six years to build and was officially opened in 2001. This mosque is a traditional light Islamic structure made of sandstone and marble. It features five minarets—one main and four side minarets—that give it a unique appearance. The interior is lavishly decorated with mosaics, enormous handmade Persian carpets, and crystal-adorned chandeliers.

• Al-Mirani Fort | قلعة الميراني - From the fort’s observation deck, you can take in the stunning views of Muscat.
• Al Alam Palace - The residence of Sultan Qaboos. The palace is flanked by forts on both sides, offering breathtaking scenery. Located in the city center, it attracts many visitors. Although entry is not permitted, you can walk around and take great photos.
• The National Museum - Bait Al Zubair is a cultural foundation that began with a private museum, which opened its intricately carved wooden doors to the public in 1998. Funded by its founders, the Zubair family, the Bait Al Zubair Foundation was established in 2005 as the cultural and social arm of the family-owned Zubair Corporation. The Foundation oversees the cultural space and develops projects related to culture and heritage, the arts, the community, history, and publishing. Bait Al Zubair showcases the family’s collection of Omani artifacts spanning several centuries, considered the finest privately owned collection. Its ethnographic artifacts reflect the highly specialized inherited skills that define Omani society, both past and present. It is one of the country’s architectural landmarks and received His Majesty Sultan Qaboos’ Award for Architectural Excellence in 1999, the first time the award was given in Oman.
