Excellent - We were introduced by our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Sena to a number of delicious Tokyo street foods during a walk around a popular local venue for this activity. Highly recommend.

Amazing local Japanese food tour! - Seden, truly made my family’s food tour memorable. She speaks perfect English and is fluent in both Japanese and the culture. She took the four of us on a food tour of what the locals like to eat versus the more common tourist traps. She also led us through a beautiful night stroll through a park. The walk was needed because to digest between all of the meals. Trust me, you need a huge appetite to finish off all the food. We didn’t even come close! The most unique meal was the hot table but my favourite was the sushi bar because of the setting and chefs omakase. If you love food, this tour is a must! NOTE: wish I could have loaded photos but the site wasn’t working :(

Fun street food adventure in Tokyo - We had an amazing food tasting experience with Seden. We toured a neighborhood of Tokyo we never would have discovered ourselves. The food was interesting and so good. Seden shared information on the history of the area and the food we were sampling. Seden is such a fun and interesting person. We are so glad we met her early in our vacation so we could go back and try more street food in the same area.

An Incredible Welcome to Japan - We wanted to book a food tour to get to understand the local culture as one of the first things on our three-week trip to Japan, and Seden was the absolute perfect guide. From the moment we met her, she was so kind and explained everything thoroughly. We learned about an area we wouldn’t have had a chance to explore on our own, and got the true local experience. She took us to so many incredible spots and made sure that we got to try a little bit of everything, while explaining the local traditions and even some Japanese history. We couldn’t recommend a tour with Seden more, it’s a must-do for anyone coming to Japan!!!

Great Time with a Genuine Foodie - Seden greatly exceeded my expectations on our recent food tour in Kichijoji. Her company was delightful and her knowledge of the local food scene was extensive. I was impressed that she wasn't just ordering food for me, but taking the time to speak with the various chefs/staff to determine what was best for me. Her Japanese was flawless. We also got to take a break with a nice stroll to the temple in lovely Inokashira Park. If you're considering a food tour, don't think twice about booking with Seden. You will not be disappointed! Arigatou gozaimasu Seden-san! I have already scheduled additional tours with WithLocals and recommend them highly.

A must do! - Not only was Sena an amazing and attentive guide, but the food was well worth the tour on its own. It was so nice to get out of the tourist areas and experience how the locals eat. The food we had was by far some of the best on our trip. Highly recommend everyone taking a few hours to do this tour.

Excellent tour with Sena - My wife and I did the street tasting tour and had a great time. Not only did we get to sample several local treats, but Sena also immersed us in local culture. It was fascinating and fun! It also got us out of central Tokyo to a non-touristy neighbourhood with local flavour. Getting there was via an extremely easy-to -navigate train ride from Shinjuku station. Sena is super friendly and personable. She speaks English as if it is her native language as she went to university in the USA.

Fabulous Intro to Japanese Food and Culture! - Our "10 Tastings of Tokyo" with Sena was all we had hoped for… and more! We couldn’t have been more pleased. With her excellent knowledge and experience in the area, we tasted wonderful and varied foods of Tokyo, from savory to sweet. We even visited a conveyor-belt-style sushi restaurant—high on our list of "must try’s!" Sena speaks very good English and is a delight! We learned a lot about Japanese culture and she even helped us download a SUICA card which has enabled us to easily use the subway, taxis and vending machines and to pay for many other purchases. This tour was a perfect introduction to Tokyo and Japan. This was a definite highlight of our trip! We highly recommend it!

Tokyo street food tour - We took a walking street food tour with Sena in October. She was waiting for us when we arrived at the designated meeting spot in the Kichijoji district of Tokyo. She took us to many local food stalls as well as to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Not only did Sena take us to the food stalls where she thought the food was the freshest and the best, but she helped us buy gift snacks at a Don Quijote convenience store, and even helped us navigate the Subway kiosk so we could purchase Suica cards. She’s the best and we would highly recommend her!
