Join our tea tour, guided by well-trained local experts, to explore the enchanting tea plantations. Guests can enjoy a few hours of walking through the lush fields, observing the tea plucking process, and interacting with the workers to learn about their culture and lifestyle. The tour includes a one-hour tea tasting session and a visit to the tea factory. In the local language, ‘Chai’ (Tea) is the most widely consumed beverage globally. The tea plant, Camellia sinensis, originates from a region between India and China. This tour offers a wonderful opportunity to learn about tea farming, participate in tea tastings, and experience the operational tea factory and machinery in Munnar.

The Lockhart Tea Factory, renowned for its traditional Orthodox Tea production, was established in 1936 and houses vintage machinery. Visitors receive an informative briefing on the tea-making process, its history, and the health benefits of tea.

Tea is the most widely consumed beverage globally, and this factory offers a tea tasting section for visitors. Our team has meticulously designed this program to cover every intricate detail of tea. The training includes a Tea Blending Course and a Tea Tasting Course. These modules have been refined repeatedly to provide the best possible knowledge about tea. The program consists of 9 levels, each designed to progressively deepen your understanding of tea.
