Join us at our picturesque winery to sample some of the finest wines from our estate collection, accompanied by local Macedonian produce. During this wine tasting session, your host will illustrate the traditional ideologies and standards that shape our wine production. A comprehensive tour of the St. Cosmas and Damian Monastery is integrated into the trip, as well as a stroll around our wine estate and storage cellars. The package includes organised transportation from your lodging to our winery and return.

A little gem and great food platter, tasty wines - It was a great experience. The pick up from the centre of Ohrid was easy to arrange, the drivers was lovely. The setting of the winery was great and the food platter was great. I requested a vegan platter for 1 friend and they accommodated this. The man who told us about the wines was interesting and we tried 5 wines and a rakia. We had a lift back to Ohrid. The tour was interesting too. Would recommend!!

A dream of well-being and Welcoming - What a fascinating place!!! I can't believe what Stefan and his partners have created here. And the kindness that prevails here. We felt totally welcome and will definitely come back

Friendly experience - Beautiful surroundings , old building. Tasteful wines. We tasted two white wines, one rose and two reds. First we tasted raki and for dessert berry liquor. And we had also tapas plate. And the guide told us about wine making. They were very friendly and spoke good English. I recommend that.

Absolute must-see - Absolutely amazing! Our driver, Stefan, was lovely, funny and really informative. The monastery and winery are so beautiful, and the resident pups were a special treat too. The tour was fantastic, the young men working there were really informative, friendly and warm. The drinks were fantastic, we started out with some Raki, then on our tour of the winery and distillery we sampled the 78% raki, and then tried 2 white wines, a rose and 2 reds, with an additional wine sample for free in the end as well as a sample of their homemade pink gin. Every drink was delicious and the service was immaculate, they asked about dietary needs and we informed them that one member of our party was vegetarian and they arranged the charcuterie board to keep the meats separate and provided more cheeses. Genuinely the highlight of our trip to Ohrid!!

Lovely time in a beautiful calm place... - A perfect mix of a bit of local history, delicious wines and a very charming host. Booked to keep someone into wine entertained. It absolutely delivered for him and even for those us less knowledgeable about wine. Firm recommend.

Excellent wine and delicious food in a fantastic location . - My visit to Monastery Winery in Openica was an unforgettable experience! The location in the middle of nature, near Ohrid, offers a quiet and beautiful environment, perfect for relaxing. The wine was excellent – with an intense aroma and a lot of character. I was particularly impressed by the traditional meat dish under the bell (pod sach) – tender, juicy and incredibly delicious. The appetizers and side dishes also went perfectly with it.
The staff were extremely friendly, attentive and took a lot of time to explain the different wines and their production. The combination of great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent wine makes this winery a real insider tip in the Ohrid region. I can highly recommend a visit here!

A must, if in the area - Convinient pick-up and and drop-off. Tour was nice, very informative and fun as well. Wines were excellent, everbody should be able to find their favorite. Very good local snacks were served as well.

Must do experience - Absolutely loved this experience which was a honeymoon treat. The service, the team, the location were all amazing. So informative and a really unique must do experience. 5 different Wines and snack platter were all delicious, even though I’m a red drinker all the red, whites and rose’ we sampled were beautiful!

Magical place - We were picked up from our hotel and given an informative talk while driven into the mountains. Monastery’s winery magical at first glance. The building and terrace were beautiful, and the welcome was genuine. We enjoyed 6 hours of hospitality with a wide selection of wines and spirits. The hosts were friendly and the service was professional. The charcuterie board was substantial and helped soak up the alcohol! We would recommend the experience without a doubt! Excellent.
