One castle, one town, lots of charm - Two great stops. The first was (Hamburg) kind of rushed but honestly didn’t need more time than we were given. Rothenburg was very cute but unfortunately construction everywhere. Be aware a lot of restaurants close at 2:00. Lots of tourists in the main square but if you wander some of the side alleys it gets much quieter and peaceful.

Franciska was amazing!!... - Franciska was amazing!! We learned so much about Munich, Bavaria, historical facts, beer, Eagle's Nest and Hitler's history and so much more. She set clear expectations so rendezvous meeting points were easy and adequate time at sights was perfect. The Document Center Museum at Eagle's Nest supplemented the lift up to the top for quite a view, and a stop in the village on the way home was charming.

Beautiful Bavarian Town - This was a full day trip but worth every minute. Our first stop was at Harburg Castle, the 45 minute guided tour was perfect for this location. Then we were on to Rathenburg ob der Tauber. We were provided plenty of time to explore this incredible old town and have lunch on our own. This old Medieval Bavarian Town is a day I'll remember.

Rothenburg is beautiful - The castle on the itinerary is difficult to manage if you have gait or balance issues due to the number of steps as well as u even walking paths. Second part of the itinerary, Rothenburg self tour was a very positive experience. It’s a beautiful town with great food available.

I very nice day out to a lovely "town" of Rothenburg - sit back and enjoy the journey! - This was an enjoyable trip, and we thought it was very good. Our guide Jacqueline was very nice and it was a good day out. It was quite a long day, and after doing two other trips (to Castles and the Eagles nest) we thought the others offered more interesting things to see. It was a well run tour and the driver and guide were both lovely. Rothenburg is very nice and has lovely shops and nice restaurants and ice cream too!

Great trip if pressed for time - The tour is a great option if you only have one day. The castle and the medieval town of Rothenburg are very impressive! The bus was comfy and the drive itself was very scenic. Be precisely on time, or the bus will leave you! If you have more time, I would HIGHLY recommend driving to Rothenburg and staying the night. It’s much bigger than we thought, and 3 hours isn’t NEARLY enough time to see this amazing place. You won’t have time to do any of the museums.

DB, ICE Memoirs - DB and ICE basically buy tickets online. Reservations can be made in Japan. You can choose the reserved seats from the map. It's better to avoid large suitcases with bicycles or small luggage compartments above the seats. #2 is special, #1 is normal, but normal is sufficient. There are no ticket gates, and if there are no tickets, a fine of e50 will be charged. Note that the price varies depending on the time of day and age, and it is more expensive to buy it just before. They also said that a 10-minute delay was better.

Long day but was a bit... - Long day but was a bit boring for teens. More communication around good availability. No gluten free options. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Would just do Rothenburg on own next time - The tour guide told us after we left that we could not get into Harburg without cash. There was an ATM around the corner, and we arrived plenty early so we would have had time. When we got there, we noticed the prices for entry were much cheaper than the quoted $10/person. Viator did not advertise cash for tickets. The guide did not describe the history of the castle or much along “Romantic Road”. He scolded us when we followed him up to the castle, but never mentioned we couldn’t look at the outside prior. We only had 3 hr in Rothenburg, so it was rushed as we did not arrive until 1240 and everyone needed to eat. Rothenburg was awesome, I would do on my own next time. Not at all worth the money.

No Romance for me - Terrible- did not make it because of traffic. I understand unforeseen circumstances, but Seems like it’s the job of the company to find out road conditions and closures. They took a long time to figure out we had to turn around. The tour guide, Melanie, was great. This trip was very important to me so I’m disappointed and hoping for a full refund.
