Our tour guide Tyler was... - Our tour guide Tyler was incredibly informative and gave us a lot of context of the castle and King Ludwig II. Highly recommend this tour. Our only issue was that we would have liked an extra hour at the castle but due to the days being short its understandable since we got back to Munich at around sunset. Overall, we highly recommend this tour especially to those who aren't staying at Munich for very long.

My daughter and I turned... - My daughter and I turned up at the meeting point and was met by our guide David. After checking us in David advised us where the nearest cash machine was and the nearest place to get something for breakfast and use of toilets, he told us what time to be back at the meeting point then he could carry out a head count and brief us on what the trip entails. Before going to the coach, we had a little wait as another couple that was booked on the trip had a problem in finding the meeting point, David was on his mobile a few times trying to explain where the meeting point was but unfortunately, they were heading in the wrong direct and ended up too far away to wait for them. We then walked to the coach which was only a minute or two away. The coach driver was friendly, and the coach was nice and clean and had toilet facilities. When enroute David told us a bit about himself and then went round us all to see where we had travelled from. David was knowledgeable and gave information on the different areas whilst on our way to Neuschwanstein Castle. Once we arrived at the castle David was very clear on the meeting points and times, he also put on a pink hat, so he was noticeable in a crowd. Before going up to the castle we had time to take some photos and look around the gift shops we also had a bite to eat. My daughter and I enjoyed the castle, it was a hike getting up there, but it was worth it, you could book to go on a horse and carriage but there is a waiting time, possibly 30 mins or so. In the castle you were given a listening device so you could hear the castles tour operator and lots more steps to go up… again, worth it. On leaving the Castle we both headed down the hill to have one last look around the shops before going back to the nice warm coach then headed back to Munich where we left the coach. David and those who wanted to look around the Christmas Markets headed off to the Markets and whilst on route David pointed out different buildings of interest and added a bit of history regarding them, Joanne and I really liked the Theatine Church, very beautiful inside. We enjoyed looking around the Markets, there was a lovely atmosphere, and they were very busy, thank God for Davids pink hat…hahaha We really enjoyed the trip, it was excellent, we would really recommend it, David also made it a very enjoyable and an informative experience.

Neuschwanstein adventure - Bring cash for tipping (deserved) and also for vendors at neuschwanstein village. Bring your own food and drink if you want it cheaper still although they do sell reasonably priced drinks on the bus

Great tour with Tyler - Very smooth trip, took a nice coach bus and got some history of the area and King Ludwig on the way to the castle. Got some great pictures before hiking up and taking part in the castle tour itself. Took the bus back and then Tyler gave us a walking tour of Munich where we got some more insight into the area. Also gave me a great dinner and beer recommendation that I really enjoyed after the tour!

Absolutely amazing tour!... - Absolutely amazing tour! Tyler was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable. The castle is stunning in winter, and the hike isn't too challenging. Another great aspect is that the bus isn't filled to its full capacity.

The best experience - All around it was an exceptional experience. Tyler, our tour guide, did a stellar job. Never time I would probably opt for the carriage ride up the mountain, though. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Neuschwanstein-Castle.

A great experience... - A great experience overall! It was such a smooth excursion and Tyler was a really well-informed and friendly guide. He was very knowledgeable and also told us the best tips about foods to try at the Christmas Markets, photo spots at the castle and historical facts about the area and royal lineage.

Jeff - Fantastic experience! Tyler was a great tour guy, funny, knowledgeable and professional. I wish we had more time to check out other various tours with Mikes Bikes! The meet up was easy. Right in the heart of Munich. It was a quick walk to the bus. The bus was very comfortable, climate controlled and had a toilet. The tour of the castle was great! We had about an hour to walk around town, grab a bite to eat or find gifts. The walk was 1 mile up a moderate hill. It was easily accomplished by all ages. However, there d a horse drawn carriage for those who want assistance or the experience! I wish Tyler could have given us the castle tour, but the tour was giving by a state employee (who was still really good)! The castle was beautiful but I will let you experience it for yourself! Unfortunately my wife and I had to catch a train so we didn’t get to do the Munich walking tour at the end of tour. Although I have been told times vary slightly, we were back in Munich at 5:00. Again, Tyler was great! Absolutely made the experience perfect!

Lovely tour. Highly... - Lovely tour. Highly recommend. Our guide Tyler was great! He even gave us an option for a quick detour to add a stop to see a beautiful Church nearby. His insight was knowledgeable and loved that he added some humor into the day. The castle and village were beautiful. Great day trip!!
