We crossed this off the bucket list! - Sabine was our guide for the day and she was excellent The motor coach was clean and comfortable and we felt safe the entire 10 hours. Schloss Linderhof was incredible inside and out. Sabine walked us up to the castle and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. The tour through this castle was guided and was very well done. The unexpected bonus was getting to see the fountain working. It was amazing. We had plenty of time to eat lunch (we ate on our own but Sabine offered to allow any of our group to eat with her at her “favorite “ restaurant. WE chose to take the public but up to the bridge leading to the castle (it was a great choice because it was hot on our visit day). The view from the bridge was amazing and Sabine pointed us to an alternate viewing area. The walk down to the castle was through the woods and included several photo opportunities. Sabine got us all inside the courtyard and included several photo places for our tours. All of this was done well. We entered the castle with 40+ people in each group and that is too many. The tour was an audio tour that did not wait until everyone was in the room to start. Some of the rooms were so small and the group so large you couldn’t appreciate the splendor of the room and the furnishings. It was very hot the day of our tour and even hotter inside. Having said that, the castle is amazing and worth the effort. We walked down the hill in 20 minutes without issue All said the day was well worth the time and money!

Excellent! Worth the $$! - We had Annette as a guide and she was absolutely perfect, we had a wonderful time and didn’t have to stress about timing thanks to her being so organized and communicative. She provided some fun history for us on the bus ride there which I really enjoyed. She was upbeat and funny and I truly can’t recommend her enough! The bus also provided some great snacks, coffee, beer, and a clean bathroom! We were blown away by the quality of the bus. Make sure you bring plenty of Euro (cash) to pay for the tickets and anything else you want at the stops. Also bring a rain coat (I made this mistake and needed to buy a poncho at the castle) as the weather changes on a dime up there. But it didn’t ruin our time even slightly. 10/10. Worth the $$ for sure.

Awesome - We had an amazing tour to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles. Our guide, Christine, was absolutely wonderful, so patient and kind, even when part of our group was running late prior to departure. Also some people asked to get off the bus to buy tickets, even though she was already taking care of everything onboard. She handled everything with professionalism and a smile, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, the tour was fantastic, and I highly recommend it!

Great Castles - Christine, the tour guide, was amazing. She gave us so much history on the castles and Munich. The castles were very interesting to see. You do have to pay extra to go in them. They just started taking credit cards, so cash was not needed. Since we may never get back to Germany we did both castle tours. There is a lot of walking. We took the bus to the top for an extra 3.50 euros each. Being in our late 60's it was worth it. We were able to walk down the mountain in about 25 minutes. The views from the top were beautiful.
