The train fare is included in the tour. Spend 3 hours at the Memorial, where the guide will provide historical insights about the site. The tour will cover all areas, including the barracks, crematorium and gas chamber, bunker punishment block, and maintenance building, with historical context provided. Time will also be allocated to explore the excellent museum exhibition.
- Marienplatz - Relax as the guide accompanies you back to the original starting point at Marienplatz, arriving at approximately 2:00 PM. You are welcome to disembark at any point during the return train journey, including Munich’s main station.

Moving and memorable tour - Memorable, moving tour of Dacchau Concentration Camp starting in Munich, including transit on S Bahn and a local bus. Admission to the camp and transit is included in the fee. Alun Evans was a wonderful, local, personable tour guide. The walking tour with Alun was so informative and immersive; much better than a self-guided tour with headphones. Choose Viator.

A Powerful and Unforgettable Visit to Dachau - We took a tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site with Alun Evans, and I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for the experience. Alun was an exceptional guide—deeply knowledgeable, compassionate, and incredibly respectful in how he presented such a painful and important part of history. Despite the heavy subject matter, he guided us with grace and clarity, giving context, stories, and insights that truly honored the significance of the site. Visiting a concentration camp is something everyone should do when coming to Germany—it’s sobering, essential, and unforgettable. Alun made sure we understood not just the history, but the human impact and the importance of remembrance. A difficult tour, but absolutely vital—and Alun handled it with the professionalism and respect it deserves. Highly recommend.

Highly Immersive First Encounter with Dachau, Great Historical Insights - Alun is a superb tour guide who not only "deeply knows his stuff" but also capably manages a group with gracious hospitality and attention to trip details and logistics. He is very gifted teacher who ably conveys detailed historical information to a diverse audience in a highly engaging manner. You get the sense that he truly cares and thinks deeply about what he says, and is naturally curious about how others think about what happened at Dachau. The weather on the day we visited the Dachau site was quite miserable—cold, rainy and windy. Nevertheless, Alun was at ease and kept everyone in the group connected, informed and, in the end, very highly satisified.

Grand Experience - This tour with Alun was the best we have ever had! Alun was extremely knowledgeable and took us to life & times oh the unfortunate people imprisoned in Dachau. Alun allowed us ample time to look at everything and answered all questions. You will not be disappointed!

An insightful small group tour of Dachau - This small group tour was a true highlight of our time in Munich. My husband and I found Alun to be very engaging and the most well informed tour guide we’ve ever had. His in depth knowledge of the history of Dachau allowed him to answer every question from our group. I highly recommend this tour.

A great touch dealing with a difficult subject. - Alun was wonderful. He is very adept at sharing such a tragic subject matter. My family appreciated both his knowledge, as well as his compassion.
Of course, it was not the most fun tour I've had, but it certainly was the most important one. I highly recommend taking this tour with Alun

Very informative and enlightening. - The knowledge and experience of Alum exceeded expectations
More time needed to explore the museum.
Other tour guides and their clients blocking the exhibitions in the museum, when they could of moved aside from the exhibition and done their talk.
