- Dokumentationszentrum Obersalzberg - A 30-minute drive leads to the NS-Documentation Center (visiting is optional and at one’s own expense).
- Munich - At approximately 4 pm, the return journey to Munich will commence, with an expected arrival at around 6 pm.

The Eagle’s Nest, a mountain-top lodge constructed by the Nazis, is a captivating site of historical importance. Situated at 6,148 feet (1,834 meters) atop Mt. Kehlstein, the lodge offers some of Germany’s most breathtaking views of the Alps. Interestingly, despite the stunning scenery, Hitler, who suffered from vertigo, seldom enjoyed the views. Please note, Kehlsteinhaus is open only from May 20, 2025, to October 31, 2025.
- In case of snow and ice, the Eagle’s Nest will be closed and world famous Salt Mines will be visited instead

Great tour with Elisabeth! - Elisabeth was an awesome guide! She was great about keeping the tour organized and on time. She was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour very enjoyable!!

Eagle’s Nest - The tour was very good. The tour guide was excellent. The scenery was beautiful. Eagle’s Nest was a highlight of our European trip.

This excursion made for a... - This excursion made for a long day, but it was worth it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She educated and entertained us while on the bus ride. The views of the Bavaria region during the bus ride, alone, make the trip worth it. The weather did not permit us going up to the Eagle's Nest, which we knew in advance, but the salt mine was the alternate for that part of the tour and was fun.

A good day for the history buff - Elisabeth is amazing, pleasant and has detailed history knowledge. I found her commentary very interesting. She even came around to everyone at the near end of the tour to ask if we have any questions about the day and Munich.
Philip, the driver, did a great job driving us on the 10.5h day trip.

Fantastic tour. Beautiful country. The very best guide in Ursula! - Ursula is just a fantastic guide. She's so well-informed, entertainingly funny, a real joy! Such a comfortable and terrific trip. Lots of photos. I would definitely choose Gray Line and request Ursula as your guide!

Excellent Experience - Wonderful trip, wonderful tour, and wonderful tour guide, Ursula! We were not able to see Eagle's Nest because of early snow which closed the roads, we it was well worth the tour anyways. We saw the remains of Hitler's Berghof and got quite the history lesson there, then toured the Documentation Center which includes part of Hitler's elaborate bunker system underground, then toured a salt-mine which has been in operation for over 500 years. The whole day was incredibly interesting and educational with stunning scenery and views along the way and in Berchtesgaden. Our guide was very knowledgeable and happy to answer lots of questions. Also, the bus was very comfortable and accommodating.

Information overload and too little time - Wasn’t impressed with the tour, it was a two hour drive from Munich to the Eagles nest and the tour guide was talking the entire time there then played a movie on the return. I appreciate they wanted to make sure we got our money’s worth but could’ve used some moments of silence. Also, there was a huge sticker covering the bus window so we couldn’t see any of the sights being pointed out anyway. The eagles nest was fine, but didn’t have enough time to explore the museums and bunkers which would have been more interesting. All in all I think it’s better to take the train there and go at your own pace so you have all the time you need.
