The tour starts right in front of the Tourist Information of the City of Munich in the Gothic town on Marienplatz. The guide has a yellow A3 sign with the name of your tour in red letters.

Great food tour - Thomas was an excellent guide through the market. He was very knowledgeable and had interesting facts about the history of Munich and of the food we tried. Come hungry as you will try lots of food and definitely leave stuffed. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour around the market - The tour was awesome! Our tour guide was Wolfgang and he did a fantastic job telling the history. The food was amazing and the Viktualienmrkt was large and incredible!

Fun and informative food tour - recommended! - I met my sisters in Munich and did the food tour with Thomas who was a friendly and extremely informative guide with lots of anecdotes about the food market. The tour had plenty to eat so bring a good appetite, I definitely recommend it as a way to see a different aspect to Munich

Variety of samples - Our guide was very good and knew her topic. The food was somewhat of a disappointment however. My husband and I had hoped for tastes of sausages, potato salads, apple strudel, etc. The cold fish cakes were uninteresting and the thick slab of meat on a roll at the outset was way too much when a taste would have been better. The cheese samples were good but the ice cream sample was skimpy. The fruit drink at the conclusion of a very warm day was a welcome relief.
