Indian History! Wow! - So much history!! My guide, Chetan, was so knowledgeable and friendly. We walked all over and took the time to see and discuss history, buildings and more! He works for a local company called Reality Tours and Travel which gives back to the commmunity. I loved this tour and loved my fresh sugar cane juice atop too!

Excellent to Mumbai - We did this tour on 28th Feb and we were the only two people on it. We really enjoyed it and found the guide very knowledgeable about all the buildings and the history of Mumbai. Would recommend this tour for gaining a good knowledge of the history of the city and the culture

A full and informative walk with a knowledgeable guide. - We met our guide by the Art Deco Regent cinema and then it was full on walking for the next three hours. We learned so much about the history of India and of the local area and communities. We had a street snack and drink and saw many impressive historic buildings.

Beautiful sights combined with lively stories - Within these 3 hours, we saw a lot of beautiful sights combined with lively stories around and tasted delicious local snacks. Nano was an excellent guide, his English was easy to understand for us as non-native speakers, which cannot be taken for granted. We enjoyed the tour and the enthusiastic explanations of this personable young man. Good choice for visitors of Mumbai to learn to know about the presence and the past of this crowded township.

Ms Anne Spencer - Absolutely first class 3 hour walking tour. I learnt so much about past and present Mumbai from someone who lives here and is proud of his city and eager to inform in a light yet intelligent way. The personal touch made all the difference. I was the only taker for my particular tour and yet no corners were cut..... it was a truly inspiring experience, which so enhanced my first time in this incredible city.

An Entertaining and Informative Morning Tour - It was a dull and very rainy day. I braved the weather and turned up at the Regal Cinema. I was the ONLY one, and had the advantage of a personal tour, conducted, expertly by the guide Balaji. I commend the operator for running the tour despite having just ONE customer. The tour was conducted at a leisurely pace with several short stops to seek shelter from brief squalls. Balaji is dedicated and very well informed and provided both historic information, which he has at his tongue tip, as well as personal viewpoints. I STRONGLY recommend Reality Tours and wish them well.

Introduction to South Mumbai - April is not a fantastic month to visit India; the temperatures are higher and not conducive to walking tours. However, as an introduction to both Mumbai's older history and how to navigate the streets' traffic, this company's tour is affordable and well executed. My guide for the 9am tour was Balajio, who has a great handle on English and is very knowledgeable of the city's history. Even as a foreigner from New York, the traffic can be intimating and walking through Colaba does take adjusting. However, Balajio was fantastic in getting myself and the 2 other tourists from place to place in complete safety. I do recommend considering having a meal before you go because the brunch is not a great deal of food (buttered bread and tea), which is not to take away from the charming bakery from where it is served. The bread was exceptionally good by the way! So fresh and tasty. Overall, I do recommend this tour as a beginner's course into the history of Mumbai as well as a visitor's guide to navigating the city. Additionally, you can find the guides easily outside the Regal Cinema in Colaba, a few minutes walk away from the Gate of India.

HOt spot for tourism and plenty to do - When you fly into Mumbai for your travels through India or a personal retreat, be sure to venture down to the section called Colaba deep in the heart of Mumbai City. Multiple shops and tours are available as you will be enriched with a complete history of this city and its people. We come annually for a spiritual and Panchakarma retreat in Ganeshpuri, called Fire Mountain Retreat, and we always begin our journey before sinking into bliss in Cobala. You won't regret seeing Gateway of India, walking tours of Cobala, the sports being played out in open fields, and a mecca of shopping choices for everyone, even your children!
