- Ssezibwa River Falls - The driver guide will collect guests from their chosen hotel or residence in Kampala or Entebbe at approximately 6:30 am. Begin the journey along the Kampala - Jinja Highway, passing through lush sugar and tea plantations, as well as vibrant roadside fruit and vegetable markets. The first stop is at Sezibwa Falls, a cultural heritage site of the Buganda in Mukono District. Here, visitors will learn about the origins of Sezibwa Falls and the river. This site is rich with folk tales and traditional healers, offering insight into the traditional beliefs of the Buganda kingdom and providing excellent photo opportunities amidst stunning scenery.
- Namawojjolo - Pause at the Namawojjolo Market to savor a light breakfast snack of roasted chicken on the street along the Jinja highway.
- Mabira Central Forest Reserve - Next, visit the Mabira Forest Reserve, the largest rainforest, for an adventurous nature or forest walk with a local guide. On these forest trails, guests can observe and learn about the abundant flora and fauna, including various mammals, primates, birds, butterflies, and plant species. The forest is home to over 300 bird species. After a two-hour forest walk, the journey continues to Jinja town for the next activity.
- Jinja - The following stop is the Jinja Nile Bridge on the Kyabazinga Highway, where guests can take photographs on the new Jinja Cable Bridge while enjoying a magnificent view of the Nile.
- Source of the Nile - Speke Monument - Continue to Kingfisher for a boat ride to the renowned historical Source of the Nile, the Speke Memorial Monument, where British explorer Speke first discovered the River Nile, Africa’s longest river, with Lake Victoria and the Gandhi Monument. At this point, visitors can see where the Nile waters begin to flow and where it merges with Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest freshwater lake. Proceed to the Reptile Village and later transfer to Jinja Town for lunch and a tour through Jinja City, known as the oldest industrial city. Finally, return to Kampala to proceed to the hotel or airport.
