• Bait Al Ghouse - Al Ghus House, known as the pearl diver’s house, is believed to have been constructed by a boat captain (Nukhidhah), his second-in-command, or a master boatbuilder in the early 20th century. It is said to have been occupied and utilized by related divers.

• Badr Ghulum House - Badr Ghulum Suleiman was a traditional folk medicine therapist and barber who established his practice in Muharraq in 1912. In the absence of modern medical facilities, Badr Ghulum’s home gradually evolved into a small health clinic, and today it houses the city’s oldest remaining structures built for medical purposes.

• Dar Al Muharraq - Located in the historic city of Muharraq along the Pearling, testimony of an Island Economy pathway, Dar Al Muharraq is a center for training and research in traditional folk music and hosts cultural and musical events. An extension to Dal Jinaa, the three-story building is wrapped in a steel mesh that also functions as a cooling device, shading the building from direct sunlight. The mesh can be raised on the ground floor, opening it directly to the street and enhancing its role as an open majlis to the city.

• بيت الجلاهمة - Al-Jalahma House‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎ - The Al Jalahma family was engaged in various key roles within the pearling economy, from divers and haulers to pearl traders (Tajir) and grand pearl merchants (Tawwash). Al Jalahma House, situated on the northern tip of Muharraq city at the entrance to Al Halah Island before land reclamations, was the family’s residence. It provides a model of a large, intricate home where women, due to multiple marriages, formed the majority of household members. Thus, the house offers a unique insight into the female perspective on the pearling economy.

• Al Muharraq - Al Alawi House exemplifies residential architecture funded by the supply trade that supported the pearling industry. It features Muharraq’s only remaining operational wind tower, aside from the palace of the former ruler, Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa.

• Fakhro House - Fakhro House was the opulent residence of Yousif Abdulrahman Fakhro, a prosperous timber and boat merchant during the peak of the pearling boom. The original grandeur and intricate details of Fakhro House invite comparisons to the elaborate homes built by grand pearl merchants, and it also serves as a unique example of a family home that, through early land reclamation practices, gradually extended into the sea as needed.
