Mtskheta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Georgia’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, boasting a history of over 2,600 years. As the former capital of the early Kingdom of Iberia, it holds significant historical and spiritual value for the Georgian people.
Upon arrival, the group will park near the city entrance and enjoy a delightful walk through Mtskheta’s charming old streets. Along the way, visitors will encounter cozy souvenir shops, traditional snack stands, and local wine-tasting spots, offering a taste of authentic Georgian culture.
The highlight of the visit will be the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of Georgia’s most sacred sites. According to tradition, it is the resting place of Christ’s robe, making it a deeply spiritual and memorable stop on the tour.
