- Sólheimajökull glacier parking lot - You will meet your glacier guide in our Sólheimajökull Base Camp. After being fitted with a climbing harness, crampons and equipped with an ice ax, we will head up to the Sólheimajökull outlet glacier. The glacier walk starts with an introduction on how to walk and travel on glaciers and how to use the equipment you have been provided with. When everyone is ready and comfortable, the guide will lead you through the frozen wonderland if blue ice, glacial fomrations and deep crevasses.

Please be at location 20 minutes before departure.
Meet us at our base at Sólheimajökull Parking Lot. Driving time from Reykjavík is 2.5 hours. Drive along Road 1 on the South Coast, then take a left turn on Road 221. After ca. 5 minute drive, you will reach the starting point.

Great 3 hours spent with Jezierek! - We had a great time hiking on the glacier! Our guide Jezierek was perfectly cut for the job! Safety first, great explanations, experienced, skilled, helpful and funny! And he helps with sending over some great pictures afterwards.

Must do experience - The experience itself worth the trip to Iceland. The guide Przemek was passionate about his job and made it funny and really interesting with all the jokes and geological explanations.

Amazing ! - A big thank you to Bart and Denis for introducing us to ice climbing and showing us the glacier’s crevasses. They were incredibly professional and exceptionally kind. We learned so much from them and left with unforgettable emotions.

Amazing tour! - We went on a 3 hour trip on the glacier today. The tour was amazing, stunning views and a lot of fun with the group.
Our guide Przemek has been super with explaining us a lot about the glacier structure and responded to our curiosities.
Very funny and super careful for our needs. Totally recommend it! A must do experience!

Amazing Experiance - Amazing guide, Kari!
Kari taught us so much about the glacier and kept things fun the whole time. He even shared a bit of Icelandic with us—like “jaeja”! Super knowledgeable and entertaining. Highly recommend!
