Fantastic tour - will blow your expectations out of the water! - One of the absolute highlights of our trip. My mom and I ended up as the only participants on the tour and it was fantastic. This is more than learning the ChatGPT summary of Shem Creek. You feel immersed in the community. Captain Bryan put it best (paraphrasing) “To understand what is going on, you need to know how you got here.” This tour touches on Charleston history, pirates, the local shrimping history vs current conditions, restaurant recommendations, local real estate history - Capt. Bryan ties it all together. This is one of those experiences you remember for a very long time after your trip. Capt. Bryan is passionate about the history of the area and is highly accurate in his facts. Our only regret from this trip is that we didn’t sign up for more of his tours!

Great tour away from the congested historic side - Captain Brian was very knowledgeable about the history of Mount Pleasant. In addition he had a vast knowledge of the shrimping industry. He was very passionate and enthusiastic about his hometown. Not just telling you information, but he was presenting it like a story. He was able to answer your questions and took every question seriously. Recommend some local restaurants that did not disappoint!! We ate local shrimp at Arts Bar and Grill and the flounder sandwich was great!

Amazing time even for locals! - We live in Mt. Pleasant and learned more about our community and some local businesses involved in the shrimping industry than we thought possible. My wife and I enjoyed the history lesson before the conversation about shrimp, and that was very informative. The cast net demonstration at the end was our favorite part and there were some small “grass shrimp” caught in the net that were released. We even went back to one of the places and took home some local shrimp. Kudos Capt B, keep up the good work. *Also for other folks thinking about this tour, it is walking intensive as a heads up but well worth it! He did come prepared with waters.

Family of 5 & Dog - Captain Bryan's was one of the best experiences of our vacation. Our kids enjoyed learning history of our country and shrimping. Our group included 11, 10 and 8 year olds and all loved it even our 15-year old dog :) Highly recommend this tour and came back w/ great recommendations for the rest of our trip.
