• Pitt Street Bridge - Once an old bridge, this area has been transformed into a charming park. Visitors can enjoy views of Fort Sumter, Rebellion Roads, Oyster Beds, and Coastal Fauna from here.
• Pitt Street - The historic village business district is a hidden gem! It has been featured in Hollywood films and shows, including Netflix’s Outer Banks and The Notebook. This quaint area is centrally located in the old village, surrounded by beautiful southern estate homes.
• Shem Creek Park - Cyclists will encounter shrimp boats, Shem Creek, and occasionally dolphins and manatees.
• Ben Sawyer Bikeway - This is one of the most scenic stretches on the route. Cyclists will travel to Sullivan’s Island on a separate bike path with stunning marsh and water views.
• Sullivan’s Island - Sullivan’s Island is a charming beach community with delightful shops and is Charleston’s nearest beach. The bike path here will be a highlight of the route, with marshland on the left and the harbor on the right.
• Fort Moultrie - This historic military base protected Charleston from 1776 to 1947.
• Sullivan’s Island Lighthouse - The route will pass by the “Charleston Light.”
