Fun biking around Sullivan's Island - My daughter & I loved riding the e-bikes around Mt Pleasant with Lucy as our guide. It was only the 3 of us, so pretty much a private tour! Lucy showed & told us about several of the places were they film Outer Banks (which I did not think was part of our tour)... Cute town in Mt Pleasant, beautiful houses, pretty marina area, & fun riding the bikes on the beach. It was a bit unnerving going over the bridge to Sullivan's Island because it was really windy the day we went and the sidewalk was pretty narrow. (I was glad there were no walkers/other bikes coming toward us on crossing!) It was also cool because a tall boat happened to be going by so traffic & we were stopped on the beginning of the bridge, and we saw the bridge TURN so that the boat could pass through. We rented our bikes for the rest of the day after our tour which was great because we went back over to the island, had lunch at The Obstinate Daughter, rode out to Fort Moultrie, and spent time on the beach & in the water. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Charleston!

A Great way to experience the beauty of the islands outside the city of Charleston. - My husband and I did an e-bike tour, guided by Ty, of Mt. Pleasant and Sullivan’s island. It was the most fun activity we did on our trip to Charleston. Ty was a great guide, and we saw the beautiful old homes and quaint old part of the town of Mt. Pleasant (a 20 minute drive from our hotel in the historic district of Charleston). We saw egrets and pelicans in the marshes, dolphins in the water, and rode on the hard flat part of the beautiful beaches. We loved riding on the quiet roads of Sullivan’s Island and seeing the stately beautiful houses, as well as the kite surfers on the ocean. The bikes were easy to ride and the warm breeze on the bikes was delightful. This is a terrific way to see nature and architecture, while enjoying some outdoor activity (pedaling with as much or as little physical resistance as you want.) really a blast.

We seriously talked about the tour, the rest of the day! - What an adventure! I've never ridden an e-bike before, but learning to handle it was quite easy. Our tour guide, Nick, was very sweet and checked on us quite a bit since my son (12) was the only child on the tour. Beautiful sights, great stories about Charleston and many great ideas on where to go in the future. It was such a wonderul experience, we're wondering why we didn't do this last year while in town.

Highlight of our trip; could do minor improvements - Trip was amazing - highlight of our visit. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was due to the guide. She was knowledge and fun, but did not do a good job keeping the group together. There were slower individuals and riding single file it split the group. The slower part of the group missed her updates when she did stop because she didn’t wait for the entire group to catch up. Also - the group split crossing roads - which was challenging if you were the portion of the group left to cross on your own and reconnect with the faster portion of the tour. Riding on the beach was amazing- scenery was phenomenal and we got to see areas we otherwise would not have stopped at. The bikes were easy to use, had backpacks and the company provided water. Helmets were optional.
