Lots to see ! - Boone Hall is a great experience. There are LOTS of things going on all day. You can listen to a presentation, then go take a tractor tour of the property, then check out the presentation at the stables, then listen to another presentation about the different owners of the property over the years. It is a self-paced, full day of information at your own pace. A great value and a great opportunity to learn so much. Very enjoyable. The Gullah presentation really is good, as others have stated.

Wonderful piece of history - We really enjoyed our experience at the plantation. Everyone was friendly and informative. The Avenue of the Oaks is special. The history is interesting and knowing they still are an active farm is wonderful and seeing the wildlife was a plus , an alligator and especially the bald eagle.

Wonderful Day - All docents at the plantation were friendly and knowledgeable. We sampled delicious strawberries and were fascinated learning about the commerce that still occurs on this farm. Great time

A must visit! - OMG! The planation grounds are so beautiful and peaceful. The mansion tour guide (Kevin) was informative, knowledgeable, and so passionate about the era of the planation and the hardships of the souls lost there do to slavery. The fact that this is the only working planation is a testament to the current owners to keep history alive and not bury it. What an experience seeing the slave quarters and how they were able to survive is unbelievable.

Fascinating look at what old Charleston was. - Boone Hall Plantation is a definite must see when visiting Charleston. Although only a sixth of its original size, they are able to convey the feel of what the plantation was like in its heyday. All of the tours are fascinating and the guides know the history. Not to be missed is the Gullah-gichee presentation and the slave quarters.
