Beautiful plantation to visit - We really enjoyed visiting Boone Plantation. The tour guide was great and offered good information on the history of the plantation. She answered everyone's questions with ease. The grounds are beautiful. We did not take the ride throughout the property because it was way too hot and we had already spent enough time in the heat. It is best to come here when it is not so hot and you can enjoy all of what the plantation offers.

Insightful and educational - This was very moving and informative. As someone who comes from a mixed race background. I am half Caucasian and half African-American. I really needed to come to a plantation to understand more about my history..

Wonderful - Amazing experience. We absolutely loved it. We brought our 16 and 17 yr old daughters. Toddlers would not really get anything out of it. The history is there. Thank you!

Beautiful grounds + Educational experience = a great visit! - It was our first trip to Charleston and we had a few highly recommended options for a plantation visit. We choose Boone Hall and have no regrets. The home was beautiful and the information guides at the various sites around the property were fantastic. The grounds were gorgeous - from the stunning living oak trees to the onsite gardens, there were many opportunities for photos. The homes of the enslaved were particularly informative and moving. Highly recommend.

Beautiful - This plantation has lots of history spanning over different centuries and different families. It is truly amazing to step back in to history. You get to see first hand how things were back then. There is also lots of information that you can read in each of the slave houses. The tractor ride was fun and informative.

See Boone Hall - Beautiful place! Disappointed that , not only is photography not allowed inside the house, there was only 1 postcard of interior available for purchase. Gulagechee lady was excellent! Bought a sweet grass basket at the slave cabins for an excellent price! Live Oaks lane is wonderful! Tram tour was informative and pleasant.
