Your escapade kicks off with river trekking, trailing along a river segment which flows into a basalt canyon towering about 30 meters high, a spectacular monument of erosion over thousands of years, carving these distinct canyon trails.

The journey will proceed through petite waterfalls, rushing streams and stony barriers, but fear not, with an adventurous spirit, no task is too onerous.

The ‘Cascata di Venere’, reputed as one of the prime attractions of the Alcantara Gorges, marks an exciting part of the route where, according to legend, the Roman Goddess Venus used to spend her days.

When the river ascent comes to an exciting end, you’ll venture back to the valley, indulging in a heart-racing Body Rafting experience.

• It is recommended to arrive at the meeting point 30 minutes in advance
• You will need to bring your bathing suit and beach towel with you
• The duration is approximately two hours, but can vary depending on the skills of the participants
• Children must have a minimum height of 1.50 cm
• Adults must be aged 55 or over. This activity is not suitable for people with recent operations or injuries to the upper or lower limbs.
