• Mdina Old City - Mdina, also known by its Italian name Città Vecchia (“Old City”), is a fortified city in Malta’s Northern Region. It served as the island’s capital from ancient times through the medieval period. The city remains enclosed within its walls, housing a population of 250, and is adjacent to the town of Rabat, which derives its name from the Arabic word for suburb, and has a population exceeding 11,000.
