Waterfall hike and the coffee run - Today we did the hike to the waterfall, and I must say it is an experience that I would cherish for ever. The nature walk and the coffee tour was absolutely incredible. I would definitely suggest it to everyone. Our guide Aidani aka soja made us feel like at home. Our trip was catered to our needs and we loved it. I would only have a suggestion to carry walking sticks and good walking boots as the walk is long.

A Short Hike to Materuni Waterfalls and a Coffee Making Experience - I had a fabulous day with Manase, who took me to Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Farm. My guide, Manase, was very warm and knowledgeable. He knew everyone in the village and the forest, and he shared with me the culture and history of the Chaga and Masai people. The hike to the waterfall was easy and scenic, through the lush jungle and the local farms. The waterfall was spectacular and refreshing. On the way back, I stopped at the stream and relaxed my feet in the cold water. Manase took many pictures and videos for me. After the hike, I visited the coffee farm, where I learned how to make coffee from the raw bean to the final cup. I did every step of the process, from picking, peeling, drying, roasting, grinding, and brewing the beans. I drank the coffee, and it was delicious. The lunch was also very tasty and filling. I had banana soup, rice, beef stew, and fruits. It was a perfect day, and I thank Manase for making it possible.

Great visit to Materuni waterfall and Coffee plant! - Today we went with Sylvester on the Materuni waterfall and Coffee tour. We had a wonderful time! Sylvester is a really good guide showing us everything using wonderful English. The hike is nice along a pretty steep trail in very pretty nature. The waterfall itself is really gorgeous! You must see this. Afterwards we went to the Coffee plant and we made pur Coffee ourself! From grinding the beans to singing allthe coffeesongs! We enjoyed that experience so much and will cherish the memories we made with Sylvester! Thanks again!

Materuni tour for large group - My party of 14 did the waterfall hike and coffee tour. The hike took us a bit more than 1.5 hours each way but it was worth it once we arrived. The waterfall was beautiful. We had a 2 year old with us and I wouldn’t recommend going with such a small child. We ended up carrying the child most of the way. Wear light hiking shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Our guide, Hashim, was great. Very knowledgeable and reliable. My party also really enjoyed the coffee experience. The coffee was freshly roasted and absolutely delicious. In my opinion, the coffee here was better than the Arusha Coffee Lodge and half the price. Definitely a high point for my coffee loving party. Highly recommend this tour.

Once in a lifetime experience - I had the most wonderful time today during my tour with Aidani. Aidani was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the trees, plants and animals, and had many stories to share about the culture and his deep roots to the area. He was a world class tour guide. Our driver also navigated the roads very well and I felt safe. The waterfall was amazing - one of the best I’ve seen, and the experience making coffee was really fun. To top everything off, the food was good. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is staying in Moshi!

Waterfall coffee tour and lunch - Our guide Maar took us to the waterfall and then to the coffee tour. Along the way he explained a lot about nature, culture and taught us a few words of Swahili. His English is very good so we could ask a lot of questions. The hot food at the coffee place was also really delicious!

Wonderful experience under the Kilimanjaro - Amazing experience with the Materuni Cultural Centre, and great guidance from Sylvester. Very well organized, with pick up from Moshi, nice journey through the forest up in the mountains and then easy 1 hour trek to the waterfalls with some breathtaking views over the Kilimanjaro. Once back we had a relaxing time at the centre where - after a tasty local lunch - we enjoyed our freshly made coffee...from the beans to the cup! Very interesting overview on the coffee cultivation in the area, local traditions...and lot of fun! Highly recommended.
