Worth it. - The tour is very worthwhile. The guide was very friendly and made us the experience very enjoyable. The coffee plantation is very interesting. We would definitely repeat! The only thing I think is not so worth it is the hotspring, as it is several hours of driving and not worth it if you do not go for a bath.

Amazing day - We had an amazing day visiting the Materuni waterfall, coffee tour and hot springs ! The driver was very friendly, and we had a local guide for the Materuni tour; Fettywaptz2 (waterfall and coffee) who explained a lot of very interesting things (trees, agriculture, village, etc.). The lunch was made local and very good. You have to try the banana soup and banana beer ! You’ll leave early in the morning but it’s worth it, since there’s not many people in Materuni. The hike to the waterfall is not too steep, but I’d still recommend wearing good hiking shoes since it can get slippery, especially close to the water. The hot springs is a nice way to end the day. You HAVE to take a swim since the water is so nice and warm. There are restrooms and changing rooms on site.

Look no further for an unforgettable adventure! - Throughout my six week travels through Africa, this still stands out as one of my favorite adventures. Frank was my tour guide and I could not have been paired with a better one. Frank was incredibly knowledgeable of the plants, trees, and history and also allowed me to set the pace for our hike, which I would describe as moderate. On the way down, we passed a village and there were many vendors selling their art and craftsmanship on the way down. Bring some cash in case you find something special like I did! The coffee tour was also amazing in addition to the hot springs. I can’t explain the feeling of floating on your back in that warm blue water and looking at the trees swaying above you. I was even more pleased that even though I was slow in terms of taking it all in, Frank ensured I got the full experience in the end, even though we were a bit late on schedule. Do yourself a favor and go on this adventure with Safari Soles!

Fun daywithdifferentactivities! - Today we had booked a tour for the falls, coffee workshop and to go to the hot springs. Our driver Frank was at our hotel in plenty of time to pick us up. Frank was a nice guide, he spoke good English, could tell us a lot and during the day he took a lot of pictures and looked after our stuff. The hike to the falls was already very beautiful, really beautiful nature! The falls themselves were also impressive to see. Then we went to the coffee workshop, very interesting and fun to hear the whole process and to be able to help ourselves! Finally, we went to the hot springs to swim. This was also successful, a good ending to a fun

Good and bad aspects - Was OK but we should have been warned that: --7 hours out of the total 12 hour tour is travel on very bumpy.pr roads. --The hike to the waterfall is (mostly) down 3 km over rough trails with steep sections and then back up the same 3km. When they say wear good hiking shoes they mean it! Very pretty sights though. Worth the hike if you're in shape. --Coffee demo and lunch was great. --The hotsprings are not really hotsprings but a pool in a stream deep enough for swimming. The water is very clean and refreshing. --The vehicle we traveled in did not have proper seatbelts and the drive home in the dark was scary. Tailgating at speed and everyone passing dangerously. When my friend said jokingly that she wants to live to see her grandchildren grow up the driver said we (2 women, 69 and 70) had lived long enough and if we died now it was no big deal (paraphrasing). Our opinion on this rude comment differs.
