Arrival Day

Moshi Town - Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our driver will be there to greet you in the arrival hall. Look for a sign with your lead traveler’s name or your own name if you’re traveling solo. After completing arrival formalities, you’ll be driven to Keys Hotel in Moshi town for an overnight stay.

Mkomazi National Park

Mkomazi National Park - At 7:00 am, you’ll be picked up from Keys Hotel in Moshi town and driven to Mkomazi National Park with a picnic lunch box for a day of game drives. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives, with opportunities to see cats, hippos, elephants, zebras, buffalo, giraffes, baboons, blue and vervet monkeys, warthogs, and more. The park is home to about 350 species of birds. Take a break for a picnic lunch in the park. You’ll also visit the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, with more details provided by your experienced driver-guide. In the evening, return to Keys Hotel in Moshi town.

Moshi Airstrip or Arusha Airstrip - Kigoma

Kigoma - Take a shared scheduled flight to Kigoma. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to Kigoma Hill Top Hotel. Spend the afternoon at your leisure or take a sightseeing tour of Kigoma and Ujiji Town. Dinner and overnight stay at Kigoma Hill Top Hotel.

Kigoma Town – Gombe Stream National Park

Gombe Stream National Park - After breakfast, depart for Gombe Stream by boat along Lake Tanganyika. Have lunch at the lodge. If time permits, you can start chimpanzee tracking. Dinner and overnight stay at Gombe Forest Lodge.

Chimpanzee Tracking & Kakombe Waterfalls

Gombe Stream National Park - After breakfast, go chimpanzee tracking. If time allows, hike to Kakombe Waterfalls in Gombe Stream National Park. Meals and overnight stay at Gombe Forest Lodge.

Gombe Stream National Park – Kigoma Town – Arusha

Kigoma - After breakfast, transfer by boat and then by vehicle to Kigoma airport with a picnic lunch for your scheduled flight to Arusha or Dar es Salaam to connect with your onward flight.

The Mkomazi National Park is framed by the green slopes of the spectacular Usambara and Pare mountain ranges. Not far from here, the snow-covered summit of Mount Kilimanjaro offers a stunning backdrop. Besides the beautiful landscape, it is especially the fascinating animal world that makes the park special. And it is also not too crowded with visitors.

Gombe Stream National Park is a famous chimpanzee tracking park The park’s major attraction is obviously the Chimpanzees that live protected within its boundaries. The scenery of Gombe is stunning with most of the 16 major valleys containing swift steams, which flow all year. In this park, you can meet the stars of the world-famous chimpanzee community.

Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania is home to the Kasakela Group, a clan of chimpanzees. Dr. Jane Goodall spent over 30 years getting to know characters such as old David Graybeard and gentle Flo, the mother of a chimp dynasty.
