Arrive in Moshi

Moshi - If you’ve chosen our airport transfer service, we’ll pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha airport and take you to your Moshi hotel.
At your hotel in Moshi, we’ll have an exciting briefing session. Make sure to arrive a day before the trek starts. Today, we’ll go through your gear and arrange any extra equipment needed.

Hotel to Big Tree Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - After breakfast and our briefing, we’ll drive for about 3 hours to Londorossi Park Gate. A forest road, only accessible by a sturdy 4WD vehicle, leads us to Lemosho Glades. We’ll walk through the forest trails to reach the Big Tree campsite.

Big Tree Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - Following breakfast, we’ll keep moving up as the trail gradually gets steeper, taking us into the heather moorland zone. After crossing streams, we’ll descend gently to Shira 1 camp, set by a stream on the Shira Plateau.

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - After breakfast, an easy walk across the plateau will lead us to Shira 2 camp, surrounded by meadows and streams. This is a perfect day to relax and get used to the altitude.

Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - From Shira, we head eastward up a ridge, passing by Kibo Peak’s junction. After a descent to the Barranco Camp, we stay at the same height, essential for getting ready for the summit.

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - After breakfast, we climb the steep Barranco Wall to the Karanga Valley and connect with the Mweka Trail.

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - Our journey takes us to Barafu Camp, marking the completion of the South Circuit. We’ll rest and prepare for the big day ahead.

Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp

Kilimanjaro National Park - In the early hours, we start our summit trek. The challenging but rewarding trek takes us to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa! After the summit, we descend to Mweka Camp for our final night on the mountain.

Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Your Stay

Moshi - After breakfast, we descend to Mweka Park Gate to collect summit certificates. Then, our vehicle will take you to a Hotel in Arusha, our safari team will meet you for a briefing for the next day’s safari trip.

Arusha to Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara National Park - Start your day with a 8:30 AM pickup from your hotel in Arusha for a trip to Lake Manyara National Park. Take along a picnic lunch for a full day of exploring and wildlife watching. As you enter the park, you’ll notice lush Acacia and Mahogany forests. Keep an eye out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons, and blue monkeys during the game drive. If you’re lucky, you might spot the tree-climbing lions. During the right season, witness millions of flamingos turning the shoreline pink. After the drive, return to your camp/lodge for a delicious dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Ngorongoro Crater - Early breakfast before descending to the crater floor for a 5-hour game drive. Expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, and various bird species. After a picnic lunch at the Hippo pool, begin the steep ascent to the crater’s top exit. Then, a 2-hour drive takes you to your accommodation in Karatu, where a freshly made dinner awaits. After tiring safari days, rest well for the next day’s adventure

Tarangire to Arusha

Tarangire National Park - The final safari day starts with an 8:00 AM breakfast. Head to Tarangire National Park for a half-day game drive. This park is known for its majestic baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Keep an eye out for lions, leopards, cheetahs, kudus, buffaloes, oryx, giraffes, and zebras. In the afternoon, return to Arusha, reaching your preferred location by about 6 PM. Bid farewell to your team, leaving you with wonderful memories from your safari experience.
