Marrakech to Dades Gorges

Marrakech-Safi - DAY 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Dades
The Desert tour kicks off in the morning, heading towards the Merzouga desert. The journey crosses the High Atlas Mountains, passing through several Kasbahs and Atlas Berber villages. After a few hours exploring the Atlas Mountains, the tour reaches Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a renowned World Heritage site. A delightful lunch is served near the Kasbah before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa.” In Ouarzazate, visitors can explore the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas studios, famous for filming movies like Game of Thrones and more. The tour then proceeds to Skoura and Roses Valley, concluding the day with an overnight stay at Dades Valley.

Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Risani – Merzouga

Dades Gorges - The three-day Moroccan Desert adventure to Merzouga continues after a traditional breakfast. The drive takes you through roads lined with ancient kasbahs and charming Berber villages in Dades. The journey then heads to Tineghir, a stunning 15 km valley filled with date palms. Experience the towering gray and pink rock walls along the road while trekking through the 300m high canyons. The tour then proceeds to the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga, Sahara Desert, with lunch in Tinjdad. Upon arrival at the famous Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy a one-hour camel ride, watching the sunset in style as you head to the oasis camp. Spending the night at Merzouga Sahara dunes in a bivouac under traditional nomadic tents or outdoors under the stars is a unique experience. Guests can also enjoy playing drums with the skilled camel guide if desired.

Merzouga To Marrakech

Merzouga - On the final day of the tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, guests are picked up in the morning to witness the spectacular sunrise on the dunes. After breakfast and a hotel shower, a camel ride takes you to the main road. There, a driver awaits with a comfortable minibus to transport you back to Ouarzazate, passing through the town of Rissani, home of the Alaouite dynasty, and the oasis of Tazarine. After leisure time and lunch, the journey continues back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in the evening.

The best Morocco Desert tours - A desert trip from Marrakech to the Sahara is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Best and bestest - This tour exceeded all of our expectations! From the initial booking process to the final drop-off, everything was seamless. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Morocco, bringing the history and culture to life. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us to see all the highlights without feeling rushed. We especially loved the visits to food spots to try new dishes, to the desert. I was sick with the flu during my trip and he made sure to look for medicine and that I was as best taken care of as possible. We would definitely book another tour with this company!

Amazing private tour - Our tour with Ismael was amazing. He was a great driver, knowledgeable guide, and lots of fun to explore Morocco with. We really enjoyed the itinerary, we were able to see a lot of different sights including Berber villages, mountain viewpoints, and especially the desert camping trip. Ismael made sure we had friendly local guides at all the attractions we visited, and picked great restaurants and accommodations. We really loved it and highly recommend the private tour for couples or other small groups! Fair warning if you get carsick, some of the roads in the Atlas Mountains are very twisty, but having an experienced driver made all the difference!

Pick this one!!!!! - Such an amazing trip. Our guide was phenomenal and catered to what we wanted to do. He was very knowledgeable about the area and took our safety very seriously. There was flooding in some of the areas we traveled through and he was very intentional on getting us to our destination safely.

What an amzing trip with Idriss from Jrana tours - I had an absolutely amazing experience with Jrana Tour during my trip from Marrakech to the desert of Merzouga. From the moment we started our journey, the tour agency provided outstanding service and went above and beyond to ensure that our trip was unforgettable. The itinerary they planned was perfect, taking us through breathtaking landscapes and iconic destinations such as Ouarzazate and Tinghir. Idriss was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the region, providing us with fascinating insights and stories along the way. The accommodations arranged by Jrana Tour were top-notch. We stayed in beautiful and comfortable hotels, allowing us to relax and rejuvenate after each day of exploration. The highlight, of course, was spending a night in a traditional desert camp in Merzouga. It was a surreal experience, sleeping under the stars and waking up to the mesmerizing beauty of the Sahara desert.

Morrocco vacation June 2024 - This was the best vacation we have had in a very long time. Our tour guide Idrish was amazing. Morrocco is a beautiful country with many things to see. Idrish made sure we always felt comfortable and planned our trip in a way that we got to experience the true Morroccan culture and lived many experiences in different parts of the country from Marrakesh to the desert through the Atlas and all the way to the beautiful beach at Essaouira. We are definitely coming back!
