Amazing ride with beautiful scenery! - We did the cookout ride. The ride was scenic, beautiful, & fit most riders. After the delicious dinner, my mother-in- law was offered a ride back in the wagon. Staff were very patient, kind and made it fun for everyone. Afterwards, watching them corral 125 horses and let them trot to the river for the night was amazing!

Standout Trail Ride to Cap a Vacation Out West - Everyone at the ranch was friendly and helpful, and our guide Sofie was truly exceptional. We were a group of ten—including four kids—and honestly weren’t sure how well a trail ride would go with that many people and varying levels of experience. But wow, did it exceed our expectations. Riding through the Tetons with those views was unforgettable, and Sofie’s calm, upbeat leadership made all the difference. She had our city kids feeling like real cowboys by the end—they didn’t want it to be over!
The dinner was also very good. Most of us had the steak, which was cooked well, and a few of the kids opted for the chicken. The only issue—and unfortunately, it left a sour note on an otherwise amazing evening—was the dessert. Our group was last to go through the cookout line, and by the time we got there, there were only three servings of cobbler left for ten people, including four young kids. When I mentioned it to the staff, they basically shrugged and said someone probably went back for seconds.
That was it—no apology, no offer to make it right, not even a basic acknowledgment that it was a problem. It wasn’t about the cobbler itself, but about the lack of accountability. When you're paying close to $2,000 for a premium trail ride and dinner experience that includes dessert, it shouldn’t fall on guests to explain to disappointed kids why they don’t get one.
This could’ve been handled so easily—some concern, a gesture, anything. Instead, it felt like we were just out of luck. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the ride itself, especially with Sofie—but I do hope the ranch takes a closer look at how they handle the small details that leave a lasting impression.

Nice trail ride and wonderful meal - Our dinner ride was great. It ended up being just the two of us and our wrangler. We had a complete two hour ride and then a wonderful steak dinner with ver generous and delicious sides. We had apple pie to complete the meal. We enjoyed talking with our Wrangler the whole time. Nice evening.

Good, but overpriced - *This review is for the Trailride with Cookout only. From what I could see of the facilities on the outside, and the condition of the public bathrooms/showers, I would give the lodging a 1-star.
We booked the trail ride with cookout for our last night of our trip. It was expensive (they include a 6% tax and 20% gratuity in all orders), but I thought it would be a fun splurge for our teen who loves horses and to ride. The conditions of the living areas on the drive up started to make me nervous...everything was run down, dusty, and dirty. I know this is a ranch, but it seemed like the place needed TLC. However, the two guides we had were very professional and nice, and I appreciated they gave me a horse that was very gentle when I told them I was nervous.
Dinner was already prepared when we got there, so it wasn't much of a "cookout" as it was a picnic dinner at the top. However, dinner was absolutely delicious, and the views of the mountains and river from our table were gorgeous. No water available with dinner, but they did have canned soda. After dinner, you ride approx. 10 more minutes back to the coral you started at.
Overall, this was probably the most scenic trailride I've ever done, the food was good, and my family enjoyed it. I don't regret doing it, I just wish I didn't pay so much for it. I would have given it 5-stars if I didn't feel it was overpriced.

Giddy up! - Overall, a very good trail ride! The scenery is gorgeous, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the food is pretty decent - well seasoned and prepared. The cut of steak could be a bit better but it is flavorful.
It’s a beautiful ride around the Snake River and Buffalo Valley with profusely blooming wildflowers in early June. We had perfect, cool weather.
We had well behaved horses overall, some a little more spunky than others but the staff helped with managing them. One mishap occurred when one of our member’s saddle rolled and the guides were able to assist with getting him back on his feet. Fortunately, only a scrape.
It is definitely worth the few hours and the ride!
As someone mentioned, the company does require a gratuity when you arrive, not included in the advertised price.

Maybe I Over Romanticized This in My Head - When we arrived it was total chaos. They had so many people signed up they divided us into 4 groups. I asked for a small group and was put in group 4. It took an hour for the first two groups to leave.
We were then informed the last two groups were being merged into one huge group because a horse wrangler didn’t show up. Think big slow moving bus tour group. Everything that frustrates you about those is what was frustrating here. We moved very slowly. We stopped often due to someone needing something.
The pics and previous reviews had us starry eyed for a fun horseback ride with 6 other people. Instead we got a stop and go walk with 16 people.
As mentioned in other reviews, they make you pay gratuities in advance. I knew it was coming and didn’t care at the time but after the haphazard experience I wouldn’t have tipped.
We might have got them on a bad day but it didn’t live up to any expectation I had.

Wyoming saddle ride with mandatory dinner gratuity - The trail walk was reasonable but as a warning extremely dusty . The dinner was unexceptional and have to stress that if you didn’t read the fine print you are charged an additional $20 as a mandatory gratuity . The wranglers were helpful but all in all it felt impersonal trying to get as many groups done as possible for the day . Coupled with an uninspired rushed dinner I would advise seeking a different venue for a dinner ride - at $200 a person not the best value .
