Excellent guide - makes the tour! - As a history teacher, I appreciated how Martin was able to attend to both explaining the fascinating history of Quebec and Montreal as well as keeping his tour group of 10 engaged by using humor and personal anecdotes. He was a very skillful and charming guide. I personally appreciated his explication of how the Anglo and French communities have interacted through the years as part of the history of Montreal.

Highly recommend this tour. Loved the small group size, we could easily stay together and hear our guide. - Martin was a fabulous guide. He was knowledgeable and explained the history and culture of the area so well. It was our first full day in Montreal and he helped us discover some hidden gems that has us more excited about our visit. He provided a great list from MTL of suggested places to visit, foods to try, etc and increased our comfort level about being two women on our own in the city.

A fantastic and fun introduction to Montreal - Booking a walking tour is a great introduction to a new city and this walking tour was not exception. Martin our guide was fantastic. A native of Montreal, he did a great job throughout the tour, keeping it fun and interesting. We appreciated the smaller group structure. It was a great pace and ended with tips for restaurants, shopping, points of interest, and a souvenir from Montreal for each of us. Highly recommended!

Leave your Louboutin’s at home and buckle up for a fantastic walking tour of Old Montreal! - My husband and I had a great time on this tour. It was going to be a hot day, and we appreciated Jeff searching out shade at every opportunity. Jeff has a great sense of humor, and lifted us up ( emotionally, not physically ) when we answered his quiz questions incorrectly. “Good guess, wrong answer!” Jeff is a history teacher by trade, and grew up in Montreal. He gave us a great appreciation for the rich history of not only Old Montreal, but Quebec as well. We appreciated the small group experience, as we watched the hordes of other people trying to remember what their guide looked like, or trying to follow a bouncing flag. By the end of the tour you will know French vs English architecture (keep track of how many French style houses you see as there might be a quiz), and Jeff gives you presents! Some housekeeping: wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking over cobblestone at times.

A live-action history lesson! - Thom presented an entire history of fascinating Montreal - culture, politics, finance, commerce, geography, architecture - everything into a coherent integrated lesson, using the sites along the walk as real-life exhibits to illustrate his points. So good!
