• Reserva de Flora y Fauna del Pan de Azúcar - Our first stop takes us to the Cerro Pan de Azúcar’s Nature Reserve, a special place where you can explore Uruguay’s native flora and fauna. Located just outside Piriápolis, this reserve is home to a wildlife refuge where you’ll have the chance to see native species in their natural environment - such as capybaras, birds of prey, the always curious and playful coatis who wander around the park freely, and last but not least the mighty Jaguar.

This peaceful setting offers a glimpse into Uruguay’s rich biodiversity and conservation efforts, making it a perfect start to our adventure.

• Castillo de Piria - Our journey continues with a visit to the enchanting Castillo de Piria, the former residence of Francisco Piria, the visionary founder of Piriápolis. This beautifully restored castle, surrounded by picturesque gardens, offers a glimpse into Uruguay’s history and Piria’s eccentric life.

As we explore the castle, you’ll discover fascinating details about Piria’s passion for alchemy, his role in shaping the region, and his architectural legacy, making this stop a captivating blend of history and mystery.

• Rambla de Piriapolis - As we continue our tour, we’ll pass along the iconic Rambla de Piriápolis. This scenic coastal promenade offers beautiful views of the ocean and the town’s vibrant beachfront. • Paseo de la Pasiva - Our next stop is the Paseo La Pasiva, a seasonal fair that showcases local handmade crafts and artisan products. • Cerro del Toro - Showcasing a striking bronze bull statue with water flowing down its mouth, the Cerro del Toro stands prominently. • Fuente de Venus - This is a notable fountain featuring a statue of Venus, inspired by the Roman goddess of beauty and love. • Cerro San Antonio - We’re capping off our tour at Cerro San Antonio, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking panoramic views and a stunning sunset over Piriápolis. At the top, you can savor a meal or coffee at the cozy restaurant, explore charming souvenir shops, and visit the serene small chapel. The statue of Stella Maris virgin, gazing out towards the port, serves as a timeless sentinel of the sea, watching over the waters where local fishermen navigate.
