Best bird watching tour in Monteverde! - The Curi- Cancha Reserve tour was the best tour we had during our entire stay in Costa Rica. Mauricio was amazing! We felt like he knew everything about the area, the fauna and its animals. We learned so much on top of seeing some incredible birds. He’s incredibly fast at setting up the scope (huge plus after going on toutes where guides took a long time to set up) to try and get everyone to see the birds. The fact that he also offered to take pictures of us, and the animals through the scope just made this tour that much better. Will absolutely be recommending their company. 10/10!!!

Great sightings - Great guide, we saw toucans, Mot Mot, monkeys , tarantulas, moss insects and learnt a lot about the forest and fauna in a very small group. It was quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend.

Extremely knowledgable and nice! - We had an amazing morning walk with Alexander. We saw a sleeping slothe, many birds including a three waddled Bell Bird and a Quetzal. In addition to finding and knowing alot about birds, Alexander also is extremely knowledgable about plants, trees, bugs and reptiles. He is very nice and clearly loves the forest. We highly recommend him! We also did the night walk with him and will review that one too - similarly amazing!

An amazing trip - We booked this through Viator and the local company was Three Brothers Tour. We were a lovely small group of four. We saw lots of animals but we also learnt so much above the wildlife and life in general in Costa Rica. Once you’ve done the tour you can go back into the park on your own which is well worth doing. Our tour ticket didn’t cover the $20 each for the park but I knew that when I booked. Our guide was excellent and we had a brilliant time. Many thanks.

Mauricio is the best! - Our guide Mauricio is incredibly knowledgeable about the birds and plants. Even more amazing is his ability to find birds that I would never have noticed. Even after he focused his telescopic lens on a bird making it crystal clear, I could not find it with my naked eye. Our 2 1/2 hour walk flew by! (Pun intended). Highly recommend!

Good all round nature tour - We saw a viper, sloth, white eared sparrow and lots of humming birds. Definitely worth doing if you want to see some wildlife; done in a way to minimise impact on the wildlife. Make sure you have a rain jacket

Fascinating nature up close! - We loved this tour, our guide was super knowledgeable and told us really interesting things. He had the telescope so we could see so much up close and he spotted things that we would absolutely have missed, like a sloth! Tip: if you want to see quetzals, they are only at curi cancha in the morning then they fly up to the cloud forest, so on the afternoon tour we didn't see any.

Lovely morning walk in Curi-Cancha - Alexander is an amazing guide: personable, friendly and both knowledgeable and passionate about the animals, plants and ecosystems that he is clearly very keen to share with visitors. Had a lovely morning walk with him and saw beautiful birds, a sloth sleeping in a tree an agouti foraging...lots of things we would not have seen without a guide as solid as Alexander. He knows many birds by their calls and and can use the calls to track them down through the forest.
