Great bird watching experience - Beautiful location for bird watching. We really enjoyed our privately guided tour. To get the most from this experience a knowledgeable guide is essential. Our private tour guide, Clarissa Sanchez (IG: chlorospingustours), who was booked through our Kensington Travel agency, is just a terrific naturalist. Her enthusiasm and scope of knowledge is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her in Curi-Cancha.

The best experience I has in Monteverde - I found the tour excellent, the guide's service was very good, he was very kind, patient and knowledgeable about the subject, he showed me several species of birds and their characteristics, and he also explained several things to me about plants and trees. I highly recommend it if you want good service and a good experience. And Henrry was a very good guide tour I recomended.

A good afternoon in nature 🦜 - Jose is a very nice and knowledgeable guide, he was able to identify all the flora and fauna and really made sure we saw things well and assisted to take any pictures with his telescope. Best sightings of the day were the national bird of costa rica, an armadillo, a toucan, and many hummingbirds. Even with a lot of rain on the afternoon we went it was still a good experience. And we now know much more about the cloud forest and how special of a place it is.

My husband and I did this... - My husband and I did this tour on September 10, and we were very happy with everything we were able to see! We are beginner birders and this was our first birdwatching tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to spot many birds we would have walked right past. Some of our favorites from the tour were the emerald toucanet, lessons motmot, common chlorospingus, scarlet-thighed dacnis, keel-billed toucan, and even a green pit viper! We were hoping to see the resplendent quetzals and three-wattled bellbirds, but they go down to lower elevations during the time of year we were there. We had a great trip and were able to add 24 birds to our life list!

Excellent experience for watching birds! - My husband and I did the Curi Cancha bird watching tour on Friday, Dec 6th, 2024 with our tour guide Roy. Roy was a friendly, kind and knowledgeable guide. He was comfortable in both English and Spanish and clearly an expert at spotting birds from a distance in spite of the non stop rain. We saw toucans, MANY different types of hummingbirds, thrushes, broad billed motmot, warblers, birds of prey, squirrels, agoutis, monkeys, iguana and coatis all thanks to Roy! He helped us take pictures and videos through his telescope and was kind enough to offer to take pictures of us in some cool spots in the park. He shared tons of really interesting facts about the flora and fauna and was happy to answer our questions. The Curi Cancha reserve is a lovely forest and Roy is an absolutely fantastic guide! We highly recommend this tour!

An excellent guide for a special tour in Curi Cancha - We had an excellent tour with Roy in early September. We are not bird specialists but Roy educated us and provided a lot of details. It was not the time for the quetzal as their favorite avocado tree was no longer in season but we saw a lot of birds including toucans, motmot, hummingbirds, guan, euphonia, warblers, tanagers and many others gorging on figues and hiding in the trees. But Roy also pointed us toward a large side striped palm "Green" viper and other mammals. He also showed us the Merlin ID app (which we did not know) which was awesome to continue our discovery of birds for the rest of Costa Rica vacation. He shared his passion and knowledge. We truly enjoyed the 3 hrs long tour.
