Unmissable - Possibly the highlight of our Costa Rica experience so far. Marco's knowledge of and enthusiasm for the nightlife of the jungle was unbounded. We saw mother and baby sloth, sleeping toucans (both Monteverde varieties and a baby), spiders large and small, stick insects, a tarantula, a glass frogs and countless other creatures. Even the creepy crawlie-phobic amongst us loved it. Can't thank Marco and the rest of the team enough and can't recommend this highly enough. One word of warning - our viator booking hadn't come through to the team. They were charming and sorted it, but if booking on this platform you might be best advised to call Finca Lantana to confirm they have the booking.

Would recommend 10/10 - Easy hike in good weather, saw loads of animals. Birds, frogs, insects and a tarantula. Jocsan was an excellent guide with very good English.

Jocsan was great with my... - Jocsan was great with my kids. Very entertaining and engaged. We saw 2 types of Tuscans, a sloth, golden eye tree frog, and 2 types of tarantulas. I would do it again. Also Jocsan speaks amazing English.

More than just frogs - Our guide did his best to find as many frogs as he could for us as well as sloths scorpions and birds. He was able to answer questions and it was very friendly. It was fun to walk around at night in the jungle and be able to listen to all the creatures, bugs, owls etc

We had a great night with... - We had a great night with our guide Jocsan! He was funny, great to converse with, and very knowledgeable about the area and animals. We saw some good frogs, birds, spiders and insects but honestly would have been enjoyable regardless!! We would 100% book this tour again

Exceded my expectations! - Such an amazing and unique experience. We went when it was raining and still saw a lot of insects, frogs, tarantulas, bobo bird, 2 kinda of Tucans!! Our guide was wonderful, very fun to talk to and knew a lot about the plants and types of animals. His name was Jocsan. It’s a must add on the itinerary!

Amazing - Amazing experience! We saw two sleeping toucans and a tarantula! Also saw a few frogs and lizards. Absolutely recommend this experience!

Great night tour - Jocsam was a very enthusiastic guide - he went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience and saw all the highlights of a night tour. He was keen to show us the forest and his inhabitants. His English was excellent. Thanks for a great night tour!

Decent tour, certainly having a guide was helpful for locating various sights along the trail. - We travelled through the rainforest at night with 2 guides (one was in training and helped spot wildlife) as well as 2 other guests. Our guide was very knowledgeable about various plants and animals throughout the forest, and knew where to look to find a variety of interesting sights. We were able to spot 2 varieties of Toucans (Kill-Bill and Green) both trying to sleep. 2 tarantulas, a boa constrictor, a giant walking stick, millipede, Mot-Mot, several frogs and tadpoles, and a large tree that was a variety of fig that was at least 8 ft in diameter. Without our guides, its would have been basically impossible to see any of these things. It was said flashlights were included, so we did not bring a flashlight. However, one of the flashlights wasn’t charged very well and was very dim, preventing one of us from being able to see anything. Overall, this was a fun experience, as we were able to take ing a variety of wildlife that we otherwise would not have been able to see and go for a nice hike that lasted about 2 hours.

Didn’t meet advertised expectations - It was advertised as 8 people maximum but there were 12 people plus two crying babies. It was way too many people and kids were loud during the walk. It was the guides property and not a park so didn’t see too much. Was advertised at 2 hours but started late and lasted only 1.5 hours. But since there wasn’t much to see that was fine. I’d do a private one next time and at one of the parks.
