Must do e-bike ride! - Great fun!! This excursion was a full day with stops at 2 wineries and a stop for lunch. Beautiful views of the Montepulciano countryside. Bikes were easy to use and the preloaded GPS worked great. Only suggestion would be a different place for lunch. Where we stopped took way too long. We would have preferred somewhere quicker with a cleaner atmosphere. Overall a wonderful experience!

Incredible and epic e-bike adventure! - Wow, wow wow is how I have to start this review! Enrico was our guide and I have to say in all my travels. he is the best guide I have ever had. When you book your tour with Urban Bikery make sure you get a guide and make sure it’s Enrico! They are very lucky to have him in their employment! This bike trip is incredible. You go through the Tuscany region back roads to wineries for tastings and if you choose, you can stop for lunch. Enrico took us to a wonderful Cantina where they had the most incredible homemade food and wine. The scenery is more than breathtaking! And to be right in the middle of it on a bike is indescribable! You will have to take a cab or bus from the train station to Multipulciano. Then the Urban Bikery is right in the main square. We walked right in no waiting. We pulled our bikes out and Enrico gave us a little tutorial on the bikes and we were off. We left at about 10 o’clock in the morning and came back at about 5:30 PM. Enrico was so very knowledgeable and so much fun. We laughed so hard all day long. It was an experience of a lifetime and I highly recommend it!

Highly recommend! - Urban Bikery was great! They gave us all the stops and how to use them with Google Maps. The last stop however was a bit difficult to get to. Vineyards were great, stopped for lunch half way through.

Two days of fun exploration: A must do! - If you want to see the beautiful countryside at your own pace I highly recommend renting e-bikes from Urban Bikery in Montepulciano. The owners are great! The provided my husband and I with various options for self guided tours. We booked two days of rental a month (or more) in advance and glad that we did because they were fully booked all week. We biked the longest tour route on day one, visited several wineries, and enjoyed a great lunch. On day two, we biked a shorter route through vineyards and olive groves, stop along the way for wine and another great lunch. Great bikes, great experience, will definitely rent from them again!

Truly unmissable - Unmissable! We loved the wine tour experience so much that we had to come back the next day and rent bikes again to do Val D’Orcia. There is truly no better way to see Tuscany than biking through the countryside. The routes that have been mapped out were incredibly beautiful and scenic with plenty of options to stop for a glass of wine along the way. Enrico looked after us so well and he was always a WhatsApp away and we felt in really safe hands should anything have gone wrong while we were out. Could not recommend this enough.

URBAN BIKERY. Living the dream in Tuscany-Montepulciano - One of my greatest dreams in life has been to bike through Tuscany. Being a 68 year old American traveling solo in Italy for 2 weeks, I felt an intense desire to connect with this dream, even with 2 painful knees. Montepulciano was mine for 4 days. I was staying at Meublè Evoè. (Excellent). They recommended Urban Bikery to me and it was one street away from the location, which was conveniently located in the Piazza Grande. I booked an e-bike wine experience way in advance and everything was ready when I got there. Michele was excellent and was always only a text or phone call away. It was a great experience but now I want to go back and do the Val d’Orcia! Loved this experience! Thank you Urban Bikery!

Our favorite day in Italy! - My husband and I booked this tour because we thought it would meet our interests of adventure, seeing the landscape in a unique way, and getting to visit exceptional wineries. We didn’t realize it would be our favorite highlight of our trip! Enrico was an incredible guide. He treated us like dear friends, kept us safe on the road, and brought us to our favorite lunch spot of our travels. Having him as our guide was what made the bike tour so fun and easy! Tasting the wines of the region with Enrico and the winemakers was very special. We recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys biking, sight-seeing, wine tasting, and excellent company.

Perfect Day - Such an incredible day! We had the bikes dropped off at the Villa we were staying at nearby and started from there. The lunch spot recommended was our favorite place of the entire trip. Amazing fresh, home made pasta. The bikes were in perfect condition and the electric assist really helped me get up the tougher hills (I am not a strong biker so it was great for me). We were nervous at first about cycling on the busy roads and around the tight corners, but the local drivers are very respectful of bikers so we felt quite safe. All around, this was a highlight of our Tuscany trip!

Agreed, not for beginners! - Biking through the Tuscan countryside was amazing. The staff was very helpful. The e-bikes were great & the battery assist was essential for the steep hills. I will agree with "Miss Swiss" review that it is not for beginners! We are in our mid 60's & at times it was a 5 out of 5 difficulty for us.

1st half is great, 2nd half is 2 hours directly up a mountain - UrbanBikery was really cool, the bikes were easy to use, the instructions were great. The first part of the tour was awesome with incredible views and the first winery was fantastic. We could have stayed there all day sipping wine and learning about the region. Lunch was one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. After that though it went downhill- Or rather, UPHILL. After lunch, it's a 60-minute ride at a steady incline with no breaks on dirt/rock roads that were badly rutted, being passed by tourist cars and getting covered in dust and dirt. We almost didn't make it to the 2nd winery but had no choice but to keep going- By the time we arrived at the 2nd winery, which was pretty fancy, we were soaked with sweat and covered in dust, while the other guests who drove there looked at us like we were lunatics. We ended up calling a taxi to take us back to the bike shop and they went back for our bikes. It would have been another 45 minute ride up a steep mountain- I'm honestly not sure how they expect casual bike riders to complete that journey even with e-bikes. We saw loads of professional- looking cyclists who were in about as bad shape as we were. The guy at the bike shop said if we get to lunch and want to turn around, they would refund us the 2nd half of the trip- Now I know why he said that! The taxi could barely make it up that mountain and back into town, let alone our e-bikes.
