- Villa Duodo, Balbi Valier - Villa Duodo, also known as Villa Valier, is attributed to the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi and built for a Venetian patrician, Francesco Duodo, around 1592. Located high above the fortress of Monselice, the villa shows Palladian influences and is composed of two L-shaped blocks that create a rectangular courtyard. Attached to the villa is a church dedicated to San Giorgio, the last and largest church that completes a ‘sacred route’ of pilgrimage of the seven small churches that climb from the centre of the city to the top of the Rocca hill.
