True authenticity in Jamaica - Ras Natango and his wife Tamika were some of most lovely people I ever met. I came into the garden not even knowing it was a tour or anything about the place. Instantly, they were accommodating, showing concern for our family and helping us up the steep hill for their entrance. They let us know their story and walked us through every detail of the garden and gallery, adding so much charm and interest to the place. The garden was stunning enough, but the story and tour behind it made it enchanting. Really appreciated this as it let me see a side of Jamaica traditional tours and excursions don’t show you

Sustainability at its Best! - Date of visit: June 24th, 2025 My tour guide, Joseph, and I visited Ahhh…Ras Natango Gallery and Garden on the said date and were both deeply impressed by the inspiring story behind the business. Starting with limited resources, the owners transformed their vision into a sustainable enterprise. They skillfully used their God-given talents, the natural environment, thorough research, and mutual trust to build this remarkable venture. What stood out most was the remarkable comfort and trust shown by the local wildlife—particularly the hummingbirds, including Rio, Rocky, Nora, and Bluee—towards the owners, and eventually towards visitors like us. As a tourism major and nature enthusiast, I found the entire tour to be highly informative and eye-opening. It was a powerful reminder of how resourcefulness and dedication can turn modest beginnings into something truly extraordinary. Thank you!

Don't leave Jamaica without this visit - Our experience at the gallery and gardens was truly special. Ayale, Tamika and Ras Natango have an authentic vibe. We learned more about the history and present-day realities of Jamaica and how environmental sustainability is integrated into life.

A wonderful inspirational experience - We had a wonderful morning today at Ras Natango. It was wonderful to hear directly from Ras about how how took the land from a cliff face and turned it into a tropical garden paradise (and how he persuaded his lovely Wife Tamika that it was a good idea!!). What an amazing place! The way that the gardens have been so lovingly developed totally organically, creating the fertile soil from the compost created when clearing the greenery is inspirational. The wildlife in the gardens is simply beautiful. Feeding the hummingbirds, seeing the lizards and learning during the guided tour with Ayale, how the whole ecosystem works has been the crowning moment of our holiday.

Lovely View and Great People - We had a fantastic experience at the art gallery and garden. The views were absolutely incredible—every turn offered a new and stunning perspective. What really made our visit special was the personalized tour. It was informative, engaging, and tailored perfectly to our interests. The combination of beautiful artwork and serene garden paths made for a truly memorable day. We had a great time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique activity in Montego Bay.

Art and hummingbirds in the mountains. - I usually only review great or awful experiences, but this was really fantastic if you enjoy flowers, art and getting away from the usual tourist scene. The shuttle from the port was clean and on time. There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 kids. Everyone really had a good time. The paths through the garden are homemade, and steps non standard, so not for those with decreased mobility, but relatively easily negotiated. The lunch they prepared was very good, all homemade. Their son took us around and was very knowledgeable about all the different plants. The art gallery of their work was interesting and different. They even had the kids making pictures using flowers for color drawing. Very creative. I would definitely go back. A worthwhile excursion if you get to Montego Bay.

Best detour from our weeklong cruise! - Highly recommend this intimate and meaningful experience of culture and beauty in the hills of Montego Bay. We were a group of five including two kids ages 8 and 12 and a 75-year-old. We were made to feel very comfortable and at home. We were fed a delicious meal of fresh fish and given a beautiful tour of the gardens and the birds. My kids had a great time and we left feeling like we had a very positive experience that we will never forget. I’m so happy we took the time to get off of the tourist track and experience something real of this beautiful island. Communication with the owner and with the driver was easy and he met us right outside of our cruise ship and took us in a van up to the gardens.

A substitute of heaven on earth. - This is absolutely a small substitute of heaven. Beautiful nature spot on private property, showing how a human being can live in peace with other species. The host family made my family feel special and they have that magic touch probably with any other families. Both adults and children will feel there happy they could have opportunity to see it.

Absolutely Amazing! - Such a beautiful garden with the most spectacular view! Loved the walk through the garden and learning about the different plants/flowers and how art is incorporated into the garden. The gallery is filled with beautiful artwork from the family. Amazing way to start your day! Highly recommend and has been one of the best (if not, the best) part of my trip here to Jamaica ♡
