Such an amazing experience - Everything about this tour was amazing! I first connected with Javia because I was booking a trip to Jamaica and I wanted to find the perfect company for my family and I. Superior Family Service - So I waited until I got back to the US to write this review because I wanted to be able to sit down to give my undivided attention to the post I would write. First thing I would like to say is if you are traveling with small kids and you value your family safety and comfortability over everything then look no further. My husband and I were traveling with our one-year-old daughter and our 11-year-old son. This was our first time taking them to Jamaica so you know the stress levels of finding a good company was high. I researched it for months to booking and I talked to Marva and Javia multiple times just to make sure everything was right while they always assured me that everything will be just fine. Let me tell you it was more than just fine it was AMAZING….. The first day we used their services they took us from Montego Bay to Clarendon to see family. Let me tell you that it was not a short trip (we’re talking 3+ hour drive just one way) It was very long, but the good thing about the drive is that it was very informative. We got to see all the ends and out of Jamaica. We got to go through and see multiple parishes Avril told us about every parish and we rode through, Avril told us about the history of Jamaica. He let us stop at different vendors, it was just beyond words , his attention to detail and the knowledge he shares is extraordinary. Funny thing how everyone knows everyone Avril our driver actually lives next door to our cousins co worker. (We found that out when we arrived at our family compound) Then next Day we had the pleasure of having driver Duane take us to Green grass caves, and Dunn River Falls in Montego Bay. Again service was exceptional. Dwayne paid attention to show us sites that we didn’t even know we wanted to see. If it wasn’t for him we would have missed soooo much rich culture he took us to the home of Marcus Garvey, he took us into the city and we looked high and low in search of coconut drops and we found some. ( funny fact if you want authentic home made coconut drops pre order some from Avril he is a connoisseur) . Dwayne knows Ocho Rios like no other he took us routes that bypassed major traffic and our trip went off with out a hitch. At the end Dwayne took us to visit with Marva, I have to admit at first I did not know who she was so when we began to talk I was a little stand offish but let me tell you when I realize who she was during our conversation I started to ball.. I was soooo grateful to her and her family for the services they provided I was without words. Again this is not my first trip to Jamaica but it is the first time we went with our kids so it was that more important that more special and that more intimate so I just want to say Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for caring. Thank you for showing. Love and thank you for protecting. In know Jamaica we have found more than a forever tour company we have found family. My family of four wanted to learn the history of this beautiful city and our travel agent, Dianna, from Soul Seeking Voyages, put us in touch with Javia of Know Jamaica Tours. He was prompt, polite, passionate and of course very knowledgeable about all things Jamaica. My son had done his homework, so he kept Javia on his toes with his questions about the culture. We toured the city, hopped out for pictures along the way, and stopped for a bite to eat - once at a fruit stand where we sampled jackfruit, coconut and sugar cane; and again for some authentic eating at a little restaurant where I got oxtails. Know Jamaica Tours is the ONLY family we tour with in Jamaica!! We're Jamericans, and the Shaw's are our family. 1Love - We recently visited Montego Bay, Jamaica via Carnival Vista. This is our 4th time visiting and hanging out with Know Jamaica Tours! Marva Shaw and her son, Javia Shaw are 2 of the most amazing people that we now consider family. They've always greeted us with hugs, smiles, and great conversation. Every time we see them, it's almost like we just pick up where we left off. We will never visit Jamaica without seeing our family and letting them show us around. It's not a "tour". It's conversation with lots of facts, culture, and being shown what Jamaica is really like, the raw and unfiltered. Not narrated, but from real knowledge of life long residents who truly LOVE their country. On this trip, we did the MoBay Highlights tour. We were taken downtown Montego Bay first, and was given a tour of the history of Sam Sharpe, the country's hero. (Look it up; very intriguing). We then headed to Doc's Cave Beach, which has always been one of my favorite beaches. The water was beautiful, the beach was no over-crowded, and there are restrooms/changing rooms there, along with a bar. We enjoyed as much time there as we wanted, and then headed to Scotchie's for lunch. Real, authentic Jamaica patties (the beef & cheese is so good!), and jerk chicken, in which the amount we ordered was plenty for our family of 3 to share. We sat with Marva and Javia and talked about all sorts of things, and it just felt like I was with family. We then did a little shopping @ a couple of stores, and then it was time to head back to the port. I always feel like i'm leaving a part of me behind when we leave Jamaica, and this time was no different and I give all the credit to Know Jamaica Tours with Marva and Javia, for they have always made us feel welcomed, and loved. Know Jamaica Tours is the way to go!! Support the local economy, and also get a much realer experience that the cruise lines can't offer! We love and miss you so much Javia and Marva!!

We always have the best time in Jamaica with K.J.T - We always have the best time in Jamaica thanks to Know Jamaica Tours. They catered to our every need, anywhere we wanted to go they made it happen anything we wanted to eat they made it happen, they always show us the true hospitality while in Jamaica. Javia and Ms. Marva has become family to my Mom and I we are extremely grateful to have met such wonderful genuine people. They make us feel right at home whenever we’re in Jamaica. We spent a day in Portland/ Port Antonio it was a beautiful day we ate great food with a picnic on the beach and relaxed and then toured the town of Port Antonio. Which is one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The next day we spent the day hanging out at the most relaxing shop in Ochi K.J.T dine & shop experience is one of a kind, we were served amazing tasty food & beverages while relaxing with our feet in the most relaxing river the scenery and vibe is so calming and peaceful, I could spend the whole day there. After relaxing we shopped and got some beautiful pieces to bring back home. My favorite section is the local crafts such beautiful handmade pieces that are one of a kind. Ochi Rios night life is fun !! There’s always something to do something to eat and just vibes all around we even took my Mom to the casino and she had fun. We all had a time !!! And that’s special thanks to Know Jamaica Tours our family 💚 thank you for making our vacation a special one yet again. Great driver & experience - This was our first time to Jamaica and really didn't know what to go see and left it up to Jamaica tour and travel to kind of put an itinerary together for us. Avril our driver picked us up on time and was very friendly and on our way to Montego Bay he was full of stories and jokes and commentary about Jamaica. He was AWESOME!!! He told us the story about Greenwood great house and we decided to go there. It was worth the $20 per person. After that he took us into Montego Bay to go souvenir shopping and at our request, we also went to the local supermarket to look around and he was very patient and accommodating with us the whole time. After all the shopping, we went to scotchies for jerk chicken and pork and was definitely everything the reviews said it would be for them. We headed back to our Resort around 4:30 - 5 p.m. and he was as jovial on the way back as he was in the beginning. The company's communication prior to the trip was excellent, Avril was AWESOME (can't say it enough) and would definitely recommend folks to use them to customize their own daily tour.

Best on the island!! - Listen… if you’re not using KJT then you’re not using the absolute best Jamaica has to offer! They were able to customize all the tours that we wanted and more. Another wonderful day in Jamaica!! - Our group of 30 did a private tour to raft the Martha Brae river then stop at Dr Cave Beach. Javia picked us up right on time. He provided a clean, air conditioned bus with a professional driver for the day. Along the way to the river Javia gave a very interesting commentary about the island and also about specific landmarks we passed. The driver slowed down several times for us to take pictures. Cold water was provided during the trip. What i loved most was the personal attention to detail, the constant smile Javia provided, the stop during traffic where he bought fruit for us to try off the street vendor, and the safety and security of knowing we were with a great company and had no worries during our visit. Traffic returning to port was extremely heavy due to a bridge under construction. Javia and the driver worked together to take us on a detour that ensured our timely return to the port before our departure time. Even the Carnival tour buses arrived back later than we did!
