Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve - Our day start visiting the magical cloud forest of Monteverde, an interesting morning walk exploring one of the most diverse ecosystems on Earth. Get in love about the exuberant vegetation lost in clouds. Learn all about the eco-relationship and facts of Flora and Fauna.
Monteverde Reserve is also home of the famous and highly endangered Quetzal (pharomachrus mocinno) having an amazing opportunity to see this specie considered the most beautiful bird in America. - Curi Cancha Reserve - After we have lunch, we are going to visit Curi-Cancha Reserve wich is a younger property with secondary and primary forest. We will exploring a transition forest with many open areas that makes it special for watching birds, like hummingbirds, trogons, toucans, tanagers, and migratory birds.
- Monteverde Wildlife Refuge - For finishing our full day Tour, we are going to do a night Hike in the woods, in search of nocturnal wildlife, like amphibians, reptiles, insects, and nocturnal mammals, such as sloth, armadillo, kinkajou, olingo and wildcats. This activity is always recommended if never tried, we guarantee you will have so much fun learning about the night creatures.

Great day in Monteverde to see Wildlife and Cloud Forest - Was a great experience with Mario. He stayed with us the entire day and was really dedicated with showing us as much wildlife as possible. I don’t think we would have seen almost anything if we didn’t go with a guide and he seemed very passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife at the parks, especially the birds.
Was a good experience and great way to see the wildlife of Monteverde.
Note cost does not include entrance, food or transportation, so is pricey, but worth it in our minds.

Jonatan was an amazing guide! -5 stars! - Jonatan was an incredible guide! Despite an unexpected landslide that delayed our arrival by 5 hours, he graciously accommodated our schedule and ensured we still had an amazing experience. Jonatan shared his extensive knowledge about the cloud forest and its wildlife, making the tour both educational and unforgettable. To top it off, he even went out of his way to take us into town to see a sloth—a truly special moment! I highly recommend this tour, especially with Jonatan as your guide!

Exhilarating! - Our guide Mario was the most knowledgeable guide I’ve met. We did the full day curi-cancha, cloud forest and nighttime tour with him. His 15 years of experience was evident in the way he observed and found traces of insect and animal life. I learned a lot on this tour: about the animals, the flora (I love plants), and also about the humbling unpredictability of nature.
It’s important you don’t expect that you’ll see an animal every 20 ft. You must be patient and accepting of the time and energy it takes to spot the wildlife, and that you may not spot what you intend, but this was all the more rewarding for us. Whenever we did spot wonderful wildlife like monkeys, sloths, snakes and toucans - the moment was exhilarating!
Thank you to Mario for being so knowledgeable, energetic, memorable - for taking photos and videos through the scope lens. The memories of this day put a smile on my a face.

Great resource with a experienced guide - Mario was an experienced guide. My wife and I did not speak Spanish; but he was able bridge the language and cultural gap. He explained the climate, culture, food, and the reason why people have been flocking to Costa Rica. I would gladly use his expertise as guide if given the chance!

Fantastic day in a very special place Monteverde Costa Rica with Feather Hunters - It was a pleasure and privilege to do three activities with Jonathan. He is very knowledgeable guide, who gives you a lot of information and he can find birds and animals you cannot see. He is also a photographer, and I appreciated his advice! Three very different activities, it was a very special day, I highly recommend this tour! I learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of it!

Great guide, well paced, perfect babymoon tour! - What a fantastic experience! Kenneth was a great guide and incredibly knowledgeable. He’s also an unbelievable photographer. I’m 22 weeks pregnant and this was a great tour for me because I got to go at my own pace, take a coffee and snack break in between the first two morning tours AND managed to sneak in an hour nap before the night tour. Definitely a highlight of our trip and best way to experience Monteverde.

Exceptional experience!! - All the reviews are true, have a guide as you will see and learn so much more. Kenneth was our guide and he was amazing in every way. During the day we visited the Curi-Cancha Reserve and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The depth of knowledge he had about plants, trees and animals was incredible. We learned so much and he answered all of our questions. He spotted birds and animals that we would have never seen. Some highlights were seeing toucans, white-nosed Coati (Pizote), and spider monkeys. Kenneth helped us take exceptional pictures and videos using the viewing scope. At night we visited another reserve where the sounds of insects, bugs, howler monkeys, etc. came alive. When I thought Kenneth couldn’t get any better he found so much for us to see at night. Some highlights were seeing frogs, a snake, toucan, sloth with baby and a porcupine. The entire experience was more than we ever could have imagined. Exceptional and magical are a few words that come to mind. Kenneth was everything you want in a guide—kind, experienced, informative, knowledgeable, helpful and loves sharing his country with you. Book this tour as you won’t be disappointed!!!

all day tour-monteverde - Jonathon was our guide. He was very pleasant leading g us during the hikes. He was knowledgeable about the wildlife. He spotted many birds and animals for us to see and helped us capture great photos.

Not a good start…. - This was our very first planned tour of our visit to Costa Rica, and we arrived at the designated location (Curi-Concha Reserve) required by the tour provider 15 minutes earlier than required so as not to be late, but our tour provider didn’t arrive until 45 minutes later (8:00 am). We cancelled the entire tour with them at that point and continued on our own. We were able to do the Curi-Concha Reserve with their guide for $50.00 each and later that evening with the help of our Koora Hotel staff we were able to do the Night Walk with an excellent guide for $66.00 each and had a great experience. Unfortunately, we missed out on the cloud forest tour portion!

Unfriendly / uninterested guide - The most disappointing tour of all the tours I went on in Costa Rica. The couple who was on the same tour as me agreed.
The couple booked a private tour, but this company added me to their private tour without telling them.
For all 3 of us, the biggest disappointment was that our guide was completely uninterested in us. No smiles, no chats. If his clock hasn't started, he simply ignored us. It was VERY uncomfortable.
We saw other guides with their groups walk by, and these guides would offer so much info about the forest and the animals. Our guide was just silent.
It sucks to have to spend all day with a bad guide.
