Fantastic day in a very special place Monteverde Costa Rica with Feather Hunters - It was a pleasure and privilege to do three activities with Jonathan. He is very knowledgeable guide, who gives you a lot of information and he can find birds and animals you cannot see. He is also a photographer, and I appreciated his advice! Three very different activities, it was a very special day, I highly recommend this tour! I learned a lot and enjoyed every minute of it!

Great guide, well paced, perfect babymoon tour! - What a fantastic experience! Kenneth was a great guide and incredibly knowledgeable. He’s also an unbelievable photographer. I’m 22 weeks pregnant and this was a great tour for me because I got to go at my own pace, take a coffee and snack break in between the first two morning tours AND managed to sneak in an hour nap before the night tour. Definitely a highlight of our trip and best way to experience Monteverde.

Exceptional experience!! - All the reviews are true, have a guide as you will see and learn so much more. Kenneth was our guide and he was amazing in every way. During the day we visited the Curi-Cancha Reserve and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. The depth of knowledge he had about plants, trees and animals was incredible. We learned so much and he answered all of our questions. He spotted birds and animals that we would have never seen. Some highlights were seeing toucans, white-nosed Coati (Pizote), and spider monkeys. Kenneth helped us take exceptional pictures and videos using the viewing scope. At night we visited another reserve where the sounds of insects, bugs, howler monkeys, etc. came alive. When I thought Kenneth couldn’t get any better he found so much for us to see at night. Some highlights were seeing frogs, a snake, toucan, sloth with baby and a porcupine. The entire experience was more than we ever could have imagined. Exceptional and magical are a few words that come to mind. Kenneth was everything you want in a guide—kind, experienced, informative, knowledgeable, helpful and loves sharing his country with you. Book this tour as you won’t be disappointed!!!

Memorable Experience with Fantastic Guide - My daughters and I took an all day tour with Jonathan exploring the Curi-Concha reserve, cloud forest and night walk in town. We saw many amazing birds and animals and learned so much from Jonathan. In addition to be a great guide he is fun to spend the day with.

Exceptional tour and tour guide - This tour was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip, which was already filled with numerous highlights. Quick logistical summary: Even though our lodge wasn't listed as a pickup point, Kenneth picked us up and coordinated private transportation for the entire day. At our first stop, the Curi-Cancha Reserve, we were thrilled to see hummingbirds, coatis, toucans, toucanettes, and spider monkeys, as well as magnificent primary growth trees, such as fig trees. Next, we visited the delightful local coffee spot, Cafe Monteverde, where we purchased some delicious drinks and snacks. Following that, we proceeded to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, where we were fortunate enough to spot quetzals and various trogon birds, wild boars, and a tarantula. Kenneth then dropped us back at our lodge to rest from approximately 2 PM to 6 PM before picking us up for an exhilarating night hike. During the night hike, we encountered another tarantula, several frogs, a baby pit viper, and a sloth with her baby. Kenneth was an exceptional tour guide. Without his expertise, our experience wouldn't have been nearly as enriching. Thanks to his profound knowledge of plants and animals (especially birds), along with his spotting/calling and photography skills, we were able to witness many amazing sights, including toucans performing a nest switch, trogons mating, and multiple rare quetzals. Kenneth was able to answer any question we had in great detail. Beyond his professional expertise, Kenneth's warm and grounding presence made it a joy to spend the day with him. His passion for his work and these habitats was infectious; we would have already been excited by all we were seeing, but his enthusiasm increased our excitement tenfold. Our sincere thanks to Kenneth for facilitating this exceptional experience. I will be recommending this tour to anyone visiting Monteverde!

Amazing guide, amazing day - Mario is a top notch guide, other guides ask him for advice, he was incredible at seeing things no one else could (even other guides). Great sense of humour, very knowledgeable, and just a great guy. We’re very glad to have met and thanks for the awesome day!

Unfriendly / uninterested guide - The most disappointing tour of all the tours I went on in Costa Rica. The couple who was on the same tour as me agreed. The couple booked a private tour, but this company added me to their private tour without telling them. For all 3 of us, the biggest disappointment was that our guide was completely uninterested in us. No smiles, no chats. If his clock hasn't started, he simply ignored us. It was VERY uncomfortable. We saw other guides with their groups walk by, and these guides would offer so much info about the forest and the animals. Our guide was just silent. It sucks to have to spend all day with a bad guide.
