Exceptional! - This tour was exceptional in the number and quality of bird sightings we were able to make! They included over 50 species many of which we were able to see up close in our guide's scope. Our guide shared detailed information about the birds we saw. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and professional, helping us take breathtaking photos through his scope. It's important that people know that this tour does not take you to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in spite of the advertised title "Monteverde reserve Birding tour with Esteban daily guided tours". Our guide was also not Esteban but Dernierth. Instead of the Monteverde reserve, we walked around Monteverde roadsides and then went to the Curi Cancha reserve. I believe this offered a superior birding experience (but I had bought tickets ahead of time to the Monteverde reserve thinking that we were heading there, so don't buy entrance tickets ahead of time if you book this tour!).

Expectational experience seeing beautiful birds in Costa Rica with Esteban - No doubt bird watching with Esteban and his team was the highlight of our Costa Rica Trip. Esteban was very knowledgeable and kind. He was able to guide us to see many varieties of Costa Rican birds including Resplendent Quetzals, which we would not have seen if we went birding by ourselves. His prices were very reasonable, nearly 1/4th of the price what my hotel offered. I would highly recommend Esteban to anyone visiting Montverde or surrounding areas of Costa Rica.

Great bird tour with a brilliant guide! - Esteban gave us an exceptional bird tour in the Monteverde Cloud Forest. He was friendly, knew his stuff and made it great fun with plenty stories too. We really enjoyed the experience and appreciated starting early when it was quiet.

Birding tour with Estabsn - We spent 3 hours on Curi Cancha nature reserve in a small group with Estaban. He is a bird enthusiast and clearly loves his job. Very knowledgable and went the extra mile for us. Highly recommend this tour.

Best guide of our trip!! - Esteban is personable and an incredibly skilled guide. During our morning tour of Curi Cancha he spotted 45 different species of birds. Esteban taught us a lot about the birds we saw. He also helped us learn more about the other flora and fauna we found on our tour in the park. We had many good guides in Costa Rica, but this was by far the best guiding experience we had on the trip and one of the best of my life. I enjoy seeing wildlife and would not consider myself a "birder," but after this experience I was up early with my binoculars looking for birds every day. His passion was infectious.

An excellent guide!!! - Esteban was a great guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna. We spent 2 days (4 hikes) with him and recorded 80+ bird species. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to get more out of their hikes in the various nature reserves around Monteverde, and doubly recommend him for birders/twitchers.

Great knowledge of the guide - A brief comment simply cannot describe how we are delighted with the tours led by Esteban. He is a terrific guide with a great knowledge. He introduced us to animals, birds and reptiles world. He was able to pretend the birds singing in order to call out other particular species (Unbelievable!). Esteban is also a very kind and professional person. Enormous knowledge and full professionalism! Highly recommend to everyone.

Incredibly knowledgeable and fun guide - Esteban was incredibly knowledgeable about everything we saw (birds, in particular). We went on three guided tours during our time in CR and he was the best guide we had by far. In fact, he has a degree in ornithology! He was willing to help us see what we wanted to see-- a quetzal! He was easy to talk to, knew every bird just by its sound, and he was prompt. We would not hesitate to do another tour with him! He's amazing!

Awesome hike and amazing birds - Esteban is a fantastic guide. He is so knowledgeable and had super informative answers to all our questions, and was able to point out some amazing birds that we could see up close through his bird spotting scope. We were able to see a Quetzal and a Toucan! 5 stars for Esteban!
