Best birding is with a great guide. - Esteban is one of the most talented and knowledgable guides I have met. He knows behavior, calls, and of course.. birds on sight. He even whistles to them perfectly and has them draw in closer from the forest. Esteban has his own secret spots that he won't share with other guides. It was a great trip. I am an experienced birder in the US and enjoyed every minute of his tour.

Unforgettable Birding in the Cloud Forest - The most amazing birding trip we have ever had! Esteban knows every single bird and animal in the cloud forest! His enthusiasm and genuine excitement for birds (which he has probably seen a hundred times) is contagious! He is funny, kind and extremely knowledgeable making for an unforgettable birding trip. We absolutely loved it and we saw so much amazing wildlife. Esteban goes above and beyond giving additional local knowledge on other locations for our trip. We cannot recommend him enough! Can’t wait to come back and go birding with Esteban again!

Great bird tour - Esteban was our guide - he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared many interesting facts and stories throughout the tour. He knew birds by ear and knew many of the plants and animals that we came across, as well as the overall ecology of the area. We were also very impressed with his rufous and white wren imitation, which even fooled the Merlin app!

Fabulous bird tour in Curi cancha! - Wow , just wow - the 2 hours we spent with Esteban were just amazing. Our photos prove it too! We saw the famous Quertzel bird , toucanette, several different types of humming birds, mot mot and more. I thought I was the bird lover in the family but my husband loved it so much that he has downloaded the bird app that Esteban recommended 'Merlin'. Thank you so much ps we saw 2 toucans whilst on the beach in MA.

Esteban was a fantastic guide and we got to see the resplendent quetzal! - Our birdwatching tour with Esteban was amazing and I got to see the resplendent quetzal -- one of my lifers. Esteban was easy to reach and communicative throughout the whole process. When I first emailed him about a tour and told him I wanted to see quetzals, he was very accommodating and said we would be able to play by ear and decide the day before which reserve would give us the best odds. He came highly recommended by other birders and we were so glad that we went with him for our tour. Super knowledgeable and clearly loves birds and does this because he enjoys it.

Incredible Birding Tour - We had a wonderful birding tour with Dernierth from Esteban Daily Tours. We saw so many birds and he was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about birding. We wouldn't have been able to find or ID as many birds as we did if we hadn't had a tour with such a patient and wonderful guide. The other tour guides from Watebam Daily Tours shared info with each other which helped spot so many unique and wonderful birds of the area. Dernierth kept an eBird list and shared it with us at the end, toted the heavy scope and recognized the calls and spotted them with expertise. I highly recommend Dernierth and Esteban Daily Tours for novice and expert birders.
