The sand dunes are a segment of the Mongolian Sand Dunes, stretching westward from the Tuv, Uvurkhangai, and Bulgan aimags, and are part of the Khogn Khan Range. These dunes span 80 km in length. They are situated 280 km west of Ulaanbaatar and 80 km east of Kharkhorum. To the north lies the rocky and forested mountain “Khogn Khan.” The landscape features small mountains at an elevation of 1500-2000 m, with small hills and plains in between.
The mountain has been designated as a national park since 2003. There are numerous historical sites, including the Old Temple, Erdene Khamby Temple, and granite mountains. Visitors can experience the lifestyle of a nomadic family in a traditional Mongolian home, enjoy an hour-long camel ride, walk, hike, and relish the serene beauty of Winter Mongolia.

Journey to Tsenkher Hot Springs Via Kharkhorum

Kharkhorum was the capital of the Great Mongolian Empire in the thirteenth century. It is located on the right bank of the Orkhon River, 360 km southwest of Ulaanbaatar, the current capital of Mongolia. In 1380, Karakorum was destroyed. However, approximately two centuries later, on the same site, the yurt of Avtai Khan, founder of the Erdene Zuu Monastery, was established. Kharkhorin city is rich in sightseeing and historical attractions.

Tsenkher Hot Spring - Tsenkher Hot Spring is a natural hot spring that flows year-round from the ground at 85 degrees Celsius. It is the second hottest spring in Mongolia, offering a great opportunity to enjoy the natural scenery and hot springs. Visitors will feel rejuvenated to continue exploring Mongolia’s beautiful landscapes.

Journey to Ugii Lake

Ugii Lake - Ugii Lake, located in the heart of Mongolia within Arkhangai Province, is one of the largest lakes in Mongolia, covering a surface area of 27 square kilometers. The lake has an average depth of 6.64 meters, reaching up to 15.3 meters in certain areas, and a coastal length of 23.5 kilometers. In winter, the lake is covered with ice, making it perfect for ice fishing by creating holes during the fishing season.

Journey to Ulaanbaatar

Ulaanbaatar - Today, the journey covers approximately 370 km to Ulaanbaatar. After breakfast, the group departs and enjoys a scenic drive through the Mongolian countryside. Along the way, there will be stops for lunch and relaxation, with opportunities to experience natural landscapes and the local nomadic lifestyle. The drive offers stunning views of open steppe, herds of livestock, and traditional ger settlements.

In the late afternoon, the journey continues toward Ulaanbaatar, arriving in the city by evening. Upon arrival, there will be a transfer to the hotel for check-in.
