This scenic granite mountain stands at an elevation of 1,751 meters above sea level within Mongolia’s Granite zone. Visitors can explore intriguing sites such as the ruins of a Buddhist temple once used by monks, a stone hole with spring water beneficial for the eyes, and a small cave.
Tsagaan Suvraga (Ancient Sea Shore)
Gobi Desert - Following breakfast, the next destination awaits. Tsagaan Suvarga, or “White Stupas,” is a breathtaking natural marvel in Mongolia, renowned for its vibrant color palette. The sacred cliffs of Tsagaan Suvarga, when viewed from a distance, resemble the ruins of an ancient town or a series of white stupas. Over hundreds of thousands of years, the wind has sculpted this extraordinary natural formation. The cliff stands 62 meters tall and stretches 400 meters wide. Once the seabed, Tsagaan Suvarga’s eroded cliffs are abundant with fossilized seashells.
“Three Beauty Mountains” National Park (Bearded Eagle Canyon)
Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues to the renowned “Yoliin Am,” a narrow ice canyon formed by a river flowing through the Zuun Saikhan Mountains, which rise 2,815 meters above sea level. The gorge features sheer rocky walls approximately 200 meters high in its central section. This area has been under protection since 1965, covering 70 square kilometers. Today, “Yoliin Am” is recognized as one of Mongolia’s Strictly Protected Areas.
