BEST DAYTRIP IN ARUSHA - The organisation is committed to the renaturation of the region, is increasingly reforesting the surrounding area and is training farmers and schoolchildren in ecology. During the walk with giraffes, we came within 3 metres of these wonderful animals several times. I would heartily recommend it to anyone!!!

Amazing walking tour with giraffes - I found out about the Arusha Giraffe Centre on Google. Upon arriving a lovely guide called Jerome explained in depth how giraffes are an endangered species. Hence why the centre was set up. The giraffes have been rescued from some of the game reserves and will be released back into the wild once they are ready. It was fantastic seeing giraffes so close and being able to spend some time with these majestic animals. You cannot feed or pet them. It is all about conservation and that is the priority. However you can walk very close to them. I was only a few feet away. If you have time the centre is well worth a visit.

Up close and personal with giraffes - The guide really knew all about the local habitats and farming practices. We now know how endangered giraffes are. Then we went out of foot...and got up close to 4 giraffes. Amazing. Definitely recommend this tour !!

The experience of a lifetime - This is an experience not to be missed. Jerome was an excellent guide, and dedicated to regeneration of the land and care of the giraffes. We walked with 5 feet of the giraffes!! Jerome’s knowledge about the land and the giraffes as well as other animals was bottomless. We were very impressed by this tour and highly recommend it.

Visit to the Giraffe Centre in Arusha - Very nice walk in nature with a very experienced and very friendly guide. The road to get there may surprise but it is at all terrain 😉 The encounter with giraffes is extraordinary and they are not fierce 👍🏽

Great educational and fun trip - It was a super fun and educational visit to this centre located in Arusha. The place is beautiful, especially during rainy season because is so green around and it was very lovely to see those giraffes close by.

Very impressive - I had a private tour and my guide had been a teacher then studied his Bachelor of wildlife studies so he was very informative. I also met the couple who have dedicated 17 years to develop this conservation area. Not only are they breeding giraffes to set free in Serengeti or Ngorongoro where they will be protected they are providing education on land management to the Maasai so they can be more productive yet help the environment.
