Fab experience! - Wow - what an amazing time we had! Staff were all brilliant. Had a mix up with the collection time but was moved to the afternoon. My youngest daughter has an upper limb deficiency and was first to board in case she needed any assistance with the ladder - this was much appreciated. Submarine was quite spacious and was a lovely experience. My eldest spotted a stingray. We loved the time we got to spend in the most beautiful town also. Thank you very much.

A fab experience - A great experience. The water was a lot murkier than the picture shows but it is luck of the draw. I would recommend asking how murky the water is before making a decision on which day to go in the submarine. I would also avoid wearing a skirt and wear footwear conducive to climbing down very steep steps in to the submarine. It is comfortable inside the sub. Padded seats with a small screen showing what is happening as the sub goes down. You are given ear phones to hear a commentary about what is happening around you.

Good fun - Fun trip and just a fine balance between being interesting and informative . The staff are very professional and helpful and very good value for money especially considering the amount of staff and technology involved

Once in a lifetime experience! - Amazing experience through and through, definitely something to consider doing if visiting Gran Canaria. The submarine itself was very futuristic and felt safe and sturdy throughout. Staff were helpful and when I called the company prior, they arranged pick up and drop off from our hotel in Playa Del Inglés as part of the trip which saved us a lot of money! They gave us free time to explore Mogán which is a very beautiful place, however as the market was on a little more time would’ve been better as there was so much to see and our time there felt a little rushed. Definitely worth booking for a Friday if you also would like to see the market, but just bare in mind that road closures are in place every Friday because of this and you have to walk around 10/15 minutes to the actual submarine from the bus.

Not Blue Planet but a worthwhile experience nonetheless - An experience not too many can have. First off make sure you're able for the 20 vertical steps to take up you position. If you're expecting a Blue Planet experience, you WILL be disappointed as your views will be through murky waters. You will get to see the remnants of two shipwrecks and shoals of fish living in their changing surroundings as well as the leftovers of some ancient civilisations.

Too bad. - Disappointing, very cloudy views along the way, few fish, only wrecks, staff do not care about your experience

Fun if you’ve never done it before and may not get another chance. - We arranged this trip after a similar wonderful submarine experience in Lanzarote a few years ago. Unfortunately the Gran Canaria experience fell short on most counts. The water was cloudy and colourless with about 6 meters of visibility (a common occurrence based on the other reviews) , the fish were unremarkable and repetitive, the sea bed was barren, the sub was back at the harbour about 25 minutes after it set off, and the price was more expensive. By comparison, the Lanzarote trip had 40-50 meters of visibility and we saw huge fish and huge sholes, sharks and massive rays, the sea bed had crabs and lobsters and spiny sea urchins and huge rocky cliffs falling into the deep, It also had a full 40-45 minutes of sailing. The positives though is the organisation seemed good, and the two shipwrecks (what you could see of them) were interesting, though even my 12 year old son noted the ridiculousness of a concrete ‘whale skeleton” and ruined Greco-Roman columns somehow lying in 20 meters of water on a Spanish island off the coast of Africa which made it feel more Disneyland than a marine adventure. So my advice is, if you are planning a trip to Lanzarote in the future, save your money, wade up to your chest on any beach on Gran Canaria with a snorkel and stick your head in! But if you’ve never been on a sub before and this could be your one chance… then take it, it’s still quite an experience!

To avoid - Avoid it. 40 minutes in turbid water, very few fish, wrecks that we can see. At 35 euros per person it's more a scam than a real experience.
